Looks like I'm not able to make this one after all. As it originally looked like it was going to be the Sunday I said I'd come, but on Saturday I have to spend some quality time with the family as they head of to Holland for a week Sunday early :(

I'M IN!! I'm heading up to all my relations near Leicester on the Friday evening until the Bank Holiday Monday, so I shall nip over from there on the Sunday (only about 40 miles I reckon). What sort of time are we looking at? I assume the bar will be open from 11am, so that sounds like a good time. :dtp:

I think I'm free that weekend, so will probably come along too :-)

As it's at a pub, I had assumed it was a look at the cars and then have a drink type of affair... :-D

How sad am I. I've done a search on the MaccyDs website, and found one just along the A45 from Stonebridge - see attached map. But, as its a pub, it should be serving food. I suppose McD is needed just for those arriving early and needed some breakfast.

I "think" I'll be able to grab breakfast with one of my relatives - A big fat fry-up at that, so I'll probably be sorted for brekkers.

(upon closer inspection of the map, I've realised that the nearest one is actually hell of a long way from the Malt Shovel - sorry!)

Okay I'm cool with that, but the B roads North are great, I spent a year in Nuneaton and Leicester so sort of know the little roads between Nuneaton and Stoke if there was a desire to have a potter out

Might be a conflicting date, not sure yet! Fingers crossed.

fingers crossed indeed* How did you get streetmap to show such a larger area than my map? I guess you found something on that site I have yet to discover.. I'm not familiar with that area of the midlands at all. My old territory was south of Leicester - kind of around Market Harbrough and toward Northampton & Corby.

It's good to hear from so many enthusiastic people!

I am suggesting we meet on the 25th SUNDAY at 11.00am approx at The Malt Shovel Pub as described so aptly on the previous threads in terms of location.

Time then for a coffee/pint/chat and then I thought it would be good to head just down the road to a pub called The Bull's Head in Meriden for something to eat.

The idea of the meet is just a chinwag and gawp at each others motors Swap tips etc

It's also a good chance to catch up with e-mates and put some faces to the names out there:cheers:

11am it is. If I leave my relations at around 10, it shouldn't take more than hour to charge to the M6 at Rugby and peg it along to Stonebridge. I'm looking forward to this a lot.

Note to Colin/Ian - Do you reckon my sticker will have arrived by the 22/23 May? I'd feel a little out of place if I showed up without my briskoda.net sticker proudly displayed for all to see.

Somebody for heaven's sake post him a sticker to shut him up :D
