225/45/17 on a furby vrs???

Featured Replies

hey, has anyone fitted the above size tyres/wheels to a fabia vrs before?

they seem really wide, do they rub at all?

cheers in advance

I would have thought too wide and tall

They are way too big. 205/40/17 is the size you need.

so i take it it will rub?

I think not move rather than rub unless you are using a off road lift kit!!!

lmao, bugger, so my octy 2 vrs zeniths are a no go :-(

will not fit....

look out for a set of 17" spiders from an octy vRS mk1.

really suit the fabia vRS.

They won't fit anyway as they are the wrong PCD.

215/40/17 will fit

215/40/17 will fit

That size will fit, but not on octy2 zeniths as the wheel will not even bolt onto the fabia.

They will with stud converters

A mate of mine has 215/40/17 on his fabia fine and it is lowered on coilys

Fit OK but throws your speedo readings out.

hmmmmmmmmm, mixed reviews there, tjink im gonna buy the bolts an give it a go, dont mind about the speedo really, as long as its not telling me im doin 30 an im doin 40 lol

225/45 will never fit :)

The reviews might be mixed - the fact remains they won't fit.

225/45 will not fit... for christ's sake what's the point in asking for bloody advice if you don't take it...

I have seen somebody try to fit 225/45/17 onto an unlowered MK4 ibiza and the tyres rub on the spring seat = extremely dangerous.

What are wiggly bolts? Dont sound too safe to me.

And would it not have been a wiser move to post this before you bought the wheels ?

And i'll answer too, that size tyre will not fit, and the wheels wont fit without the correct PCD adaptors.

They sound dodgy. What's wrong with using wheels (and indeed tyres) that fit?

Wobble bolts wont work, too big a pcd difference. Only adapters will

What view do insurers take on wobble bolts.. I can't imagine they like em much at all?

225/45/17 tyres will fit (bloke across the road has them on his standard hight VRS) but they will rub almost constanly so not the best thing to put on it

215/40/17 will fit

I have that size on my spiders and they fit fine :)
