Don't ever go for a silver car no-more - it was a fad that started a couple of years ago and now silver cars have flooded the market and you'll see that silver cars will depreciate a little more than others as not many people want them in the re-sellers market.

but a black vrs? hmm, go for a red one and get noticed.

In my view get the one YOU like - our choice was between red or yellow as I personally won't pay less for what I consider inferior paintwork - now if it was solid black, it would have been no contest.

I too ditched a cooper for a Vrs, first time round i had second thoughts and instead px'd my wifes megane for a silver Vrs, but as we both fought over who was driving the Vrs and who was left with the cooper, it had to go, this time for a black one. Now we have both we quite like red!!

...which would you have a vRS in? My cousin has ditched plans for a Cooper and is keen to get a Fabia vRS but she is torn between black or silver. I know which one I'd go for (and in fact did) but perhaps some real-life ownership experiences could help her choose.

More black fabia vRS have been registered in the UK than any other colour. That is why I went for silver and the fact that silver shows all the details on the front bumper around the fog lights.

Yes BUT despite this, ANY Fab vRS on our roads are still a rare sight.....apart from mine i have seen two in the last 6 months. Can anyone say that about any other mass produced motor??? So, whatever colour you get the actual car is still pretty exclusive.
