Hi guys....my names Phil and i have just got myself a nice wee fabia! I'm 22 and from Aberdeen in Scotland, thought i would come and introduce myself to you guys and let you see my previous cars

Firstly started with a 1.0 litre mk5 polo, which was swiftly written off  so then i went and got myself another mk5 polo, but this time a 1.4 8v......buuuuuut the engine was equally crap, so bit the bullet and me and the old man carried out a full GTI conversion on her, Loved this car and miss it loaaaaadds :thumbdwn:

Heres the Polo :o

Then i bought a Corrado VR6 (which just got sold on sunday ) Loved this thing, but i cant lay any claim to the styling of it,was done by a lad jamie over in northern ireland

Heres the Rad

And then, well i always wanted to try something jap! so i turned to the dark side and got myself an MR2 Turbo imported from Japan....the thing is a bit of an animal i have to say. Not too much done to it to be honest, RR'd at 250bhp and ran a quarter mile time of 13.5secs extremely quick car as standard....0-60 of 5.2secs. Was going to concentrate on this, but it just wasnt practical enough and wasnt getting the use t deserved pottering to and from work etc Still got it, but it should be gone this friday i would imagine.

Heres the MR2 :P

Soooooo now this leads me on to the new fabia! I'm sure most of you will know the car, I done a straight swap with Stuart Hatch....my corrado VR6 for his fabia I just needed something that was economical and wasnt going to cost a fortune to run....but i still wanted somethng that looked good!

There we have it.....future plans?? welllll..... going from a 250bhp mr2 turbo to a 65bhp skoda fabia, i have noticed its a little bit too slow for me :P So this year will hopefully see a cheeky wee engine conversion ;) will keep things simple, most likely a VRS engine/gearbox to the tune of about 180bhp should suffice.

Cheers for reading guys and hope you like

Cool looking motors mate ,and welcome to the site .

i can see them fine:confused:

nice history and you have a very nice fabia too,but don't do a vrs conversion, that fabia deserves way more than diesel miediocrity,20v it

Can you??? Oh  Everywhere iv looked on the forum, all i can see is the link....the picutres arent automatically appearing. Maybe just me :thumbdwn:

Yeh well i was thinking 20vt, i'v always been keen on doing it to a wee hatch.....but im not sure how difficult it would be :S Being a diesel n all...what complications are there from doing a diesel to petrol conversion?? And how hard would it be plumbing in a 20vt? Thats why i was thinking on just going down the vRS route, its diesel and will just drop straight in very easily :)

 @ brimma, could do with a couple more mm i have to say eh :P

Welcome to Briskoda

Davy

 Very nice, both past & present! What about lowering it a little more and adding a snow plough attachment? That way, you could go straight thro any speed ramps! ;)

wow stuart....scary to see how much its changed!!!!!!

With regards to the 20vt, is the platform of the ibiza and polo the same ie, would it be same engine and gearbox mounts?

what would be required, flushing of tank and lines of deisel, obviously change the fuel pump, engine, gearbox, loom, ecu, clocks? just regular stuff??

I would rather it was all just plug and play so i can just do it all myself....like when i converted my mk5 polo 1.4 8v to GTI, it was all drop in and plug n play....all i had to do was get my key coded at VW....job done.

Thanks for the kind welcome peeps, really really happy with the car :D

Yeah, same platform. Skoda were given it first to showcase what they could do. And of course it won all the awards when first launched back in 2000.

Oh.....and welcome to Brisky! Lol :D

i'm currently doing a mk2 20v conversion,i will let you know how easy it is when i'm done doesn't appear to be too hard, and with the fabia the platform allready has a model with that engine in so should be very simple.........in theory:D
