what a great car

Featured Replies

I have driven for over 15 hours covering almost 700 miles in the last 2 days in my little Fabia vRS.

I out paced pretty much everything when I needed to and still averaged 55mpg.

There is no point to this thread only to say I've had this car a week and I love it. - I'm so glad I didn't pay extra for the Audi A3 or Golf.

:):):):)

Glad you like it!

Even a year and a half later, I still think sometimes 'what if I had to buy another car right now' and what would I buy? I honestly think the little Fabia vRS is a great proposition and I would still probably pick it even now.

You are so right, great choice.

To credit the car, I have never been in such a dilemma of potentially considering a new car offset against keeping what I have, but what I have seems to far outweigh the benefits of getting a new car!

While I am loathed to spend money, this is also for me a strong reason to consider the pros n cons of keeping the car (as it ages into slightly more advanced years, and may get a bit rougher around the edges).

But you know what - it really isn't that worn down even at 50k.

Now considering that information - welcome and pat yourself on the back for picking a best of breed car!

The vRS farts in the general direction of most audi's and golfs in terms of "progressive" road speed so being worried by bumper magenets is out the question, but is no way is it a sportscar

It does tend to leave most the main mediocrity of the cars and repmobiles you've mentioned in your wake save but the fastest GTI's and higher-end petrol performance models (and there aren't that many petrolheads left on the roads and increasingly dying fast with the cost of motoring thanks to the government).

No wonder clarkson is probably crying into his beer and in woes at the thought of trying to hype the review of the latest dual fuel cell vehicles with optimal mpg, as supercars become a thing of the past. Whilst in comparison, if cars like the vRS are still a possibility for the future (with diesel technology) then maybe at least the average man on the street has something to look forward to.

Great choice buddy. Glad your happy with it. I've had mine for about a year and it still puts a smile on my face. Either that or its the heated seats!! :)

Remap a week today, the smile will be even bigger.

Welcome to briskoda too.

Difficult to have more fun with your clothes on  Still makes me grin when you plant your foot. Big dilemma when it's time to replace it, very clever little car.

Bet your MPG was taken from the lying computer though  Safe bet it was more like 47 MPG

I still think sometimes 'what if I had to buy another car right now' and what would I buy?

Sat in a pub beer garden yesterday with mine in the car park and had that conversation

with my Dad, same conclusion for me, just glad I don't have to drive that much to

commute, on 23k so fingers crossed I won't have to change anytime soon:)

When I had to get rid of my 04 Yellow Vrs I was truly gutted, I ran a Felicia ( Pinky ) for 18 months and finally got another Fabia Vrs ( 06 ) .................now I'm minted,... put's a smile on my face every time I drive it....... Will a new shape Vrs be as good...........maybe, maybe not, I'M KEEPING THIS ONE...........:)

I've had mines for a month and haven't even looked at another car and tbh i'm usually car shopping again after a week! I love my VRS and look for any excuse to drive it!

It might not be the quickest car on the road but it shows alot of cars it's heels and delivers brilliant mpg everytime!

had mine over a year what a brilliant car great mog and relability thats all i need really cant ask for much more great car
