World Champion again! :D

Well done Rossi.

He was NOT happy!

Blaming it on throttle problems.

Not exactly the best of buddies those two.

Some how can't imagine Gibernau saying he was beaten by a far superior rider.

Toys were well & truly thrown out of the pram @ Qatar.

After Honda grassing up Yamaha & their "rubber laying" antics the night before the race, Rossi had a few words to say about Honda & Gibernau.

Gibernau has a better bike but is Gibernau a better rider? I think not.

Think Rossi takes some beating.

Okay Doohan won five titles but the Honda was in a class of it's own, very much doubt he could have switched and still won.

If he keeps going on and beats Doohans record it will be interesting to see if he switches to F1 as the rumour is still doing the rounds.

Rossi has of course tested for Ferrari, last year IIRC.

I don't recall any times being released, but Ferrari were said to be "impressed" with his driving.

As for that last lap...

If I remember right he was something like a second slower than Schumacher!!!!

Faster then Rubens then

Didnt Biaggi have a test at Ferrari?

I think Rossi is defo the main man, when you consider that the nearest Yamaha was how many places back, with umpteen Hondas between it shows he is class.

As a spectacle, MotoGP beats F1 hands down and Rossi is twice the man Schumacher is.

From what I heard he was about 1/2 second slower than schuie in the ferrarri

out of couriosity, does anyone know who was the last person to win two titles in a row on different machines ???

it was a BRILLIANT race though well worth gettin up early for

:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Gibernou.. hes not in the same class as Da Doc

Eddie Lawson - not sure when though but it was a good few years ago.

Rossi is KING

Did you see him with the brush after the last race, legend

He also drove a 206 WRC but stuffed it into a ditch on the first stage if I remeber correctly (was it in Rally GB?)

Best place for it.

Think it was Rally GB last year.

Other thing I like about him is he is a bit of a character in these days of glum miserable moaners.

Rossi is indeed the main man. He has to be accepted as the greatest of all time now. Yamaha were nowhere last year and now they have the title!

Yamaha have been nowhere since the last genius was riding one - Mr Rainey

Spot on.

He almost always has a smile on his face, and genuinely seems to enjoy himself.

As opposed to the like of Herr Schumacher over in F1, who might as well be a tailor's dummy.

Yeah it Eddie Lawson in 1988 & 1989. Ironically, it was from Yamaha to Honda!

The man that would have beaten Doohan had he not broken his neck in that aweful crash! I remember watching that race. :(

Even Rainey was a glum bloke though.

Thing with Doohan, Rainy, Swantchz etc was whenever they were interviewed it would always start:

'The Lucky Strike/Rothmans/Marlboro Suzuki/Honda/Yamaha and the Michelins/Dunlops worked great today...'

Whereas Rossi is just so full of enthusiasm - whether it's becasue he is young or because he just isn't that interested int he comercial side of it who knows.

God help F1 if he ever does go over there, with his sense of humour, he just aint gonna fit in, but thinking about it, he may just do, after all we all know F1 is a joke now

I wonder how many HRC executives are considering Hari Kari now after he won the title

Yeh I saw the bit with the brush at last GP

Make or break year for honda next year I think.

If they don't get it right heads are gonna roll.

They were asking questions why Barros & Hayden weren't any where near the top!!!

Even the satelite Honda teams beat the works Hondas!
