  • Popped to the garage at lunchtime to swap coolant temp sensor. I don't think it's the problem but it can't hurt. Going to swap O2 sensor later for the spare I have. Went well, all sorted in 5 mins. T

Cracking day for it too, wish I could have tagged along. Dave's rally stage was it?

Fancying a return visit in July Chris?

Beautifully colour coordinated Rob  . [says he, sounding like the old fart he now is]: make the most of them while they're young. It doesn't seem like 5 minutes since mine were in seats like this. Now they're in the driver's seat!

Got told by the insurance company that a remap would bump the insurance to £3k :swear:

Removed my Carbonio CAI & fitted the polished up ABD CAI I bought from westallc B)

Added sound deadening in the passenger front door. Just the boot to do now :)

:o How much..... :S

I'm currently paying £750, rang them up and got told that I couldn't add the remap to the current policy and that I would have to take out a new policy at £3051

Today my vrs got treated to some new droplinks, bottom ball joints, rear bump stops and the coilovers cleaned, greased and lifted up a bit.

Ohh it was fun lol

Glad you've lifted it up a bit Richard. Last time I saw your car on a meet it was dodging the smallest stone lying on the road... :giggle:

Hmm, I'm starting to see the benefits of fibreglass sub boxes. Building an MDF one in this space is going to be a challenge.

My bench is covered in car bits :o

I decided to clean my interior today after seeing a few nice clean ones and while I had the seats out I thought I would go ahead and fit the black carpet.

So here's the start, interior out...

Then the carpet out...

Then a mate who carries a hoover at all times (photocopier engineer) turned up at the right time to help me get the new one in...

And after I had finished refitting the dash I called on child labour to clear up the mess I had made...

Then the mats went back in...

And this is it complete...

I also used a rug doctor to clean my seats but by the end of getting everything back in (10PM) I could not be bothered to take any more pics.

I also did the auto open/close on the windows this morning (1AM) :giggle:

Oooops flattened the battery. When I checked, a single strand of my new amp's positive cable was touching the remote on connector making it permanently on. Doh!

Also washed it then the cat decided to jump on the roof, missed and made 6 scratches down the panel by the rear light.

Bugger! What is it with cats and their fascination with clean cars? Even worse, highly polished ones that resemble a skating rink to them. I can pretty much guarantee there will be a trail of paw marks across any car I've cleaned before I've finished putting the cleaning gear away and the culprit will be sitting looking at me with a suitably smug look on its face.

Ours are terrible for it. We have three cats and they use the car to walk up, get on top of the garage door then sneak under the underfloor insulation of the house and play in there for ages.

Then when they come down they slide down the windscreen and leave big slide marks!!

Usually they curl up on the warm part of the bonnet above the turbo.

Gave it a basic clean and then took pics of the paint that had decided to fall off from front bumper!emoticon-0108-speechless.gif
