What did you do to your Skoda today?

Washed and fitted a black briskoda vinyl/sticker just above the nearside headlight. Looks good.

  • Popped to the garage at lunchtime to swap coolant temp sensor. I don't think it's the problem but it can't hurt. Going to swap O2 sensor later for the spare I have. Went well, all sorted in 5 mins. T

Having given the Elegance a very thorough wash and tidy up yesterday, today I will be removing the cycle carrier and plate from the tow bar.

I might be trading it in, but there's no need to let standards drop!

...but having removed the cycle carrier I discovered that the hitch bolts were corroded so I couldn't put the hitch back on without the carrier plate.

So the cycle carrier's come off and gone back on again; the lucky new owner gets to have a cycle carrier

Note to self - next time we babysit for Becky, park the car outside the gates where the bored dog can't get to the car:

At 6.32 in the morning?

I'm in NZ - making it 5:32pm for me :)

Edit: actually 7:32 - we're 11 hours ahead at the moment.

Good point, well made

In that case would you mind having one for me too as it's a bit early here

Happy to oblige :)

Weren't you correct first time round? 11 hours ahead of 6:32 is 17:32 or is my maths failing me?

You see, this is why I keep calling people at silly times of day. For some reason 11 and 13 hours are hard to get my head around.

11 hours ahead - 17:32 is correct.

That maths degree is serving me well :)

Detailed the Octi :p

Snow foam, rinse, wash, rinse, clayed with the new AG clay kit, AG SRP, AG High Definition Wax, rinsed, Zaino Z8, dressed tyers, engine bay clean, AG V&RC the dash board and plastics, AG Window polish , hooverd carpets and seats B)

All done in 8 hours....... :smirk:

If you've not tried it, the new AG clay and wax are chuffing exellent :D

hoorah to silent speedhumps :D

Drove it through a 2 metre height restrictor at a peage... not a problem in itself, though with a bike rack and two scooters attached to it... Anyone got a spare roof, preferably yellow?

Tidied up the wiring to my gauge senders in the engine bay.

Broke the cover on the wiring tray behind the battery - doh!

Changed front and rear seats after a 220 mile round trip to collect them from a fellow Briskodian, carpets got a thorough hoovering while all seats were removed, hoovering took longer than changing the seats :giggle::thumbup:

Drove it.

Glad you've lifted it up a bit Richard. Last time I saw your car on a meet it was dodging the smallest stone lying on the road... :giggle:

A bit of a late reply LOL but that height was when I had lifted it up !

If you thought that was low you should have seen it before :o

Nothing new on car but some more parts are piling up ;)

I clocked up my first 10,000 miles

Drove Mrs Stigs Ferbi around Medway, filled it up with diesel, washed, dried and hoovered it and put it to bed. Drove the Octi to Ashford via the M20 and had a nice cross country dash on the way home :smirk:

Clean the Octi planned for tomorrow.

Today I've fitted Dynamat Xtreme to the boot floot and near-side rear wing of the Octy. I hope to do the off-side wing and line the wheel well over the weekend.

It looks like the 5-piece (20 sq feet) Trunk Kit will be just about right size-wise for doing the totality of the boot. I suspect I'll have to get a 9-piece bulk kit (36 sq feet) to do the remainder of the under-floor area.

Eventually

In the end I got the chance to complete the boot. All done with about 1 sq ft left over.

My back is killing me.

Swapped my nearside xenon levelling motor and refitted my crappy old bonnet badge (drilled a hole in the large locating pin and screwed it) till PastyBoy comes back from holiday and I get a nice shiny new one!

Got the car dirty after a 460mile round trip to Castle Combe

Just a minor mod - hope to have the fronts fitted soon
