What did you do to your Skoda today?

Featured Replies

Hoovered out the back, was full of twigs and leaves deposited by the dogs over last few weeks after autumnal woodland walks - then took them out for nice long walk in the autumnal woodland where they played and chased about through twigs and leaves which then re-stocked the back of the car :-)

  • Popped to the garage at lunchtime to swap coolant temp sensor. I don't think it's the problem but it can't hurt. Going to swap O2 sensor later for the spare I have. Went well, all sorted in 5 mins. T

Fitted my new mats, the old drivers one had a whole in it. :o

Went on rolling road at awesome to fine tune the map

Had a long look at Furby ,sitting neglected , and decided that Felly need some windscreen TLC -SO degreased windscreen ,and filled up with screen wash ( with my secret ingredient - a good dollop of Asda cheap & nasty washing up liquid ).Then hosed screen down . Tomorrow ,I might just get round to degreasing the wiper blades ,as the screen is still getting oily. Today ( to pee of the purists) I did have a look at a Felly manual ,to see if there's a 30A feed into the car .

Wheels refurb'd today, just had all the scuffs sanded out that the previous owner put there.

went to huddersfield via the snake pass, what a road brilliant

Fitted a black carpet from a VW Bora yesterday

... and washed the car today after 2 weeks without a wash.

Added 1800 Km from my trip to Bocas >>Clicky<<

Finished putting the car back to standard ready for trading her in when i get the logbook back from the DVLA.

Cheers

Dave.

Covered my vRS foglights in yellow Lamin-x, the final thing to buy/collect/do (the list includes bumper, grilles, foglights, foglight surrounds, pressed steel numberplates, and a Leon Cupra R splitter) before my vRS-spec front end can go on my graphite grey PD100. Joy!

In the last month:

Picked up a Garrett PD130 turbo and PD150 injectors.

Bought AP coilovers.

Thoroughly cleaned, clayed, waxed with Swissvax Shield (not mine) and made to look and smell good inside.

This week:

Pick up my Evolos after being refurbished.

She's coming along quite nicely methinks B)

Pics please :)

Took mine for a valet on a half price offer at the weekend and got what I paid for I think.

Rushed job, they haven't even opened the doors never mind cleaned inside so there's polish residue on the door shuts. Wheels aren't clean. And the seat was moved and back adjusted. Why would you do that unless you'd driven the car somewhere?

Unimpressed.

Hmm, not good!

Fitted led bulbs in the sidelights , need watchmakers hands! Very bright though

fitted my coilovers and wound it down...and then some more

Speakers fitted, and finally finshed off the wheel refurb with new decals for the centre caps.

Fitted some Osram high powered bulbs in the heads, and a pair of motorbike LED DRL's in the boot to improve on the crap lighting in there.

Cleaned the windows so that I can now see out......... Been away since September and the Ol' Girl needs some TLC. I now know it has a leak as the front passanger seat is wet through.

The furby is sat on the drive.Used the wifes Audi tt today instead,i wish i hadn't.We have a security pole fitted on the drive, and guess what i reversed the tt into it.The Audi is only a month old.So left with a cracked bumper, which will be getting sorted soon.

Tried to change the fuel filter. Got the old one off, go to pop the new one in, at this point realise that opie oils have sent the wrong one. Grrrrrrr. Still, at least it was a distraction from painting the hall.
