What did you do to your Skoda today?

Featured Replies

Went to the garage to look for something. Found myself stroking the paint on the car. It feels so nice and glossy when freshly polished!

Always takes me twice as long to get in a freshly polished car for the same reason.

Took my little girl to B&Q in it and she sat up front for the first time. Loved seeing out and was dancing away to the choons

The cat was used to buff the car.

Best polishing mitt you'll ever find ;)

Can be a bit sharp if you press on to hard though :)

Finished painting the calipers black.

Filled it up with £50 of Shell's finest and then drove to uni and back.

If it isn't raining tomorrow night will be going to Prept at Brands Hatch, so fingers crossed.

Fitted new style front and rear badges.

Took it for it dreaded MOT. failed on a brake light bulb giving out less than 50% light? £1.20 fix and it's passed for another year

I was so close to doing this with my car the other month! Only with the one with Simons cat pointing at the bowl.

Everything alright mate?

Yeah, just breathing difficulties, along with the other list of things. If it's not me, it's the car. :D

Went from this, via this,

To this. I'm quite happy with it. Secondhand bumper not 100% buy much better than mine.

Love that :D

Fitted the RNS315's RVC,  some bright LED puddle lights and LED front sidelights, :) :)

Personal best of 667 miles with a little left in the tank as it only took 52.67l and a whopping 57mpg. Sad I know  :D

Impressive. Decent result fitting 52L back in again too :D

Suppose you had around 1/2 gal remaining then, including the fuel system piping. Try and nudge 700 next time ;)

You need to tweak trip computer accuracy for MPG as well - get VCDS hooked up now you know the difference between actual and reported MPG

Passed MOT :D

Steve the mpg has been tweaked, overall was 58 on the trip. Number one was my drive to work so only 25 miles. The petrol station was on the same road so I figured I wouldn't wait for the drive home and I've got a 300 mile trip tomorrow so bottled it

I didn't know that could even be done... mine is usually around 5% out although that does vary up/down slightly. I've just started mentally knocking 5% off to get a rough idea.

My old Fabia vRS was terrible at calculating MPG. It once said I'd done average 58MPG on one tank. Worked it out manually and it was actually 46MPG, that's a good 20-25% out!

Put off driving it anywhere for another day, as my left eye still hasn't settled down after retinal laser treatment.
