What did you do to your Skoda today?

Featured Replies

Filled mine up with Shell's finest Nitro+ diesel to see if it has any effect! :)

On our 1.9 tdi it seemed to run a little more smoothly and the mpg stepped up.

  • Popped to the garage at lunchtime to swap coolant temp sensor. I don't think it's the problem but it can't hurt. Going to swap O2 sensor later for the spare I have. Went well, all sorted in 5 mins. T

Yesterday afternoon I used an unexpectedly clear hour and a half to vacuum out the facia, and tried the wheel cleaner, shampoo and window cleaner out that came in the Life shine pack. I would have waxed it too but Samuel came back home.

Rolled over the 100k...

Had the Aircon re gassed this morning, on my Mk2. Nice and cold now.

Looked at it and decided it needs a wash. Done the same thing for the last 5 weeks. Still not washed it. Problem is, it's black and it's too hot to wash it during the day, and by the evening I've gone off the idea.

Vacuumed the inside and then cleaned the dash etc. Looks almost new again :)

Desperately needs a wash outside though :(

Vacuumed the inside and then cleaned the dash etc, and washed the outside and applied some megs quick detailer and AG tire dressing. Also got some bumper and trim gel and got rid of all the polish stains on the black parts, and did the door pillar vinyls so they are all the same colour since the new one stood out a bit. then topped up screen wash, checked oil level, and checked tire pressures.

I hadn't realised we were playing top trumps! :P

I hadn't realised we were playing top trumps! :p

At least with AG autofresh the trumps don't smell eggy.

Washer the Yeti yesterday... love the colour now.

Fitted LED numberplate lights and coded the car (VCDS) no errors or warnings on the dash and more importantly no resistors etc needed.

Hoovered it as full of sand and dog hair from yesturday at beach

Loosed the Octy's divers seat retaining bolts to see if I could get any adjustment in its position relative to the 'pedal box'; sadly not as suspected but worth a try.

Been struggling to get comfortable these past few weeks and I'm beginning to wonder it the position of the foot pedals has a lot to do with this, particularly the accelorator which is way off to the right :wonder:

Drove 145 miles home after making the outward journey yesterday morning..... poor thing is now in desperate need of a wash and probably won't have time until the weekend after next now :( Might give it a once over with the lance at Asda after work tomorrow just to make it look semi respectable!

Washed the mk2 again and hoovered the inside of the mk1

Removed a few stickers. Taking her for a service tomorrow.

Fabia: hoovered

Octy: WE ARE FREE OF TAR :coffee:  :sun:

Hoovered  it, then put a three year old in it and took said child to a farm with a sand pit. Today took same child to football and a park with a sand pit. Then, and this is classic, collected the paddling pool and hundreds of those soft play plastuc balls you can put into kids paddling pools from the in-laws.

Sam spent the journey home very productively and when I opened the back door, hundreds of the bl**dy balls were in the foot wells.  So I supoose I turned the Octy into a soft play centre this afternoon :)

Now need to hoover it. A lot.

Left it in the garage and drove 120km in the wife's Mazda 626 :(
The road we went down invariably causes my daughter to bring up her breakfast in my car and I did not want banana and milk on my seats!

Filled it full of boxes. You know, just because.

Business or pleasure.???

Four trips to the skips

Good job it is only a couple of miles down the road.

Just bought 2 Dunlop BluResponse for Matilda to replace the Sava Intensa's (that she came on) which seem to have plasticised since the tread has remained at 5mm for ever, they are abysmal in the slightest sprinkle of snow, rank low in the wet/dry stopping distance and one has nick in the side wall.
