  • Popped to the garage at lunchtime to swap coolant temp sensor. I don't think it's the problem but it can't hurt. Going to swap O2 sensor later for the spare I have. Went well, all sorted in 5 mins. T

It's ditch finding time! (Assuming the Savas are the back now)

Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk

Nope!! The savas are in the bin.....but I am a bit miffed the garage did not automatically rotate the tyres.

Still I will get it sorted this week.

Added another 200 miles to it & parked it here...

Bliss!

Psst... Someone parked a house on your roof - Top Gear style...

Loaded up and a few changes made. :)

Great work! Those seats also look awesome :)

Took the chainsaw out of the boot and made some trees go bye bye.

I did the same on the weekend - nice sharp chain too, made short work of a two foot thick tree :)

Tint windows on SuperB, ti reduce heat getting inside that much (small passangers behind...)...happy with result (same like on vRS). Use quality 3M product

Took it to Goodwood and then up to Croft - about 900 miles in about a week.

Octy now has a full compliment of Avon zv5 boots and corners like on rails.

Not today but the other day:

Had two front boots fitted and the car tracked, no pulling, having to hold my hand on the steering wheel at all times anymore.

Fillied up to the TOP vRS with fuel...(56,97 ltrs) estimate km to pass are friendly reachable...I can run a 1200 km with one tank...it is possible...with a little care...so one reason more why I like this car so much (170 PD manual) ;)dy7uty5e.jpg

Topped up with oil. Hadn't checked for a while... Like a long while... Which may explain why I used 3/4 of a litre in the process... oops.

Put the personal plates on the car as the revised tax disc & documentation arrived from the DVLA this morning. Just waiting for the Briskoda plate surrounds to arrive, that Colin has just added back to the Shop today :)

Aircon re gassed on the mk1, now Icey cold,

Shame the mk2 Aircon has packed up again, getting it checked out again on Sunday morning, worked for abit now blowing hot air only, so need to check for a leak and then go from there.

Hoovered the inside, cleaned the outside.

Installed my Roadhawk HD.

Washed it ready** for Harewood Speed Hillclimb tomorrow (MSA July British Championship). It should be a bit different tomorrow as there will be a BTCC car doing the climb as well - http://www.harewoodhill.com/news/article.asp?ID=85

**Not that it needs to be clean for spectating, but seeing the amount of work the teams put into the cars taking part it seems wrong to not bother!

nothing had a knee op a week ago so its sat on the drive & will do for another couple of weeks

Changed my wingmirror glass for VW blue after buying them from Korban. :)

Cleaned and waxed (FK1000p) the new Annapurna winter wheels for the Yeti:

Got the pigeon feathers out from between the headlight and bonnet. After its suicide mission on the way to work this morning

Received the replacement logbook, tax disc and permission to swap plates back from the DVLA while we were away on holiday so fitted my own plates onto the Superb that i used to have on the vRS and luckily kept. (Skoda & diesel related comments along bottom of plates) :)

Also gave DVLA a ring because it appears they have sent me out a disability tax disc showing as "nil" in amount paid so another one being sent out by them. (The car was a motability car with it's previous owner)

Had another bit of an issue though. My new plate surrounds arrived only for me to find this type half cover the above mentioned sarcastic text along the bottom of the plate... No problem i think, i'll wait till the mrs gets home and take her surrounds off and put the new ones on her vRS then use her older surrounds on my car... Front one off no probs and swapped for a new one but the back one won't budge. One of the bolts holding it on seems to have rusted in situ!!!!

So i managed to dig out another surround i had of a different design and use that so i have a Mlada Boleslav one on the front and a www.autoundservice.de skoda dealership one on the back.

But anyway it finally looks like it's mine now. :)

Cheers

Dave.

Dropped my VW Evolos off and left them behind. :(

Well it was yesterday actually but........ removed the alloy wheel centre caps and front and rear Skoda badges and replaced them all with the new look versions.

Cheers
