Interesting reading folks..........

I've and the power steering light on twice and the power steering fail momentarily in recent weeks. Once when the car hadn't been driven for three weeks, and once last week on a very cold morning. Still on the original battery as well ('55) plate. May be worth me investigating that.

Picked up and fitted a bosch silver thing from my local cash and carry for about £80 no issues yet, but boxing day will be a nice test for it. I knew it was going to be on its way out soon due to its age, was going to replace in the summer but never mind

I'd think that you are meaning Costco, yes they are handy for Bosch car batteries, will battery will have been fully charged when shipped, so when you next drive the car it wil get topped up - but all things being equal, this battery it its present state should (hopefully) out perform your previous one. The price of Holts screen wash is also "good" at Costco as is their Michelin tyres - and a few other items, oh and Highland Park whisky - hum hum!
