Superchips vRS report

Featured Replies

I don't think much of their Drive time before and after specs:

original:

Max Power: 130bhp @4000rpm

Torque: 228lbft (310nm) @ 1900rpm

0-62mph: 9.6 secs

max speed: 127mph

Superchipped:

Max Power: 130bhp @4000rpm

Torque: 228lbft (310nm) @ 1900rpm

0-62mph: 9.6 secs

max speed: 127mph

In this case Superchips are very pap indeed :D

(on graphs: 167bhp @ 3720rpm & 381nm @ 2480rpm increases of 31bhp and 51nm fron the std model they tested)

superchips are a strange bunch, wonder how they stay in business when the cars they tune arent tuned at all!

What a load of pap :gay:

To use part of a quote from another member, I wouldn't let Superchips chip a potato.

sounds about true to me

Couple of people on here have slated them, a couple have said (Lord TaviaRS included) that they're not too bad.

I think the consensus is that at best, they fall a bit short of the opposition, whoever it maye be :)

The odd thing is that there are plenty of people out there who seem more than happy with Superchips. It seems to be down to the fitter but don't get me started. If you look on UKMKIVs there are quite a few satisfied customers but most of them seem to have had it done via the OBD (not an option that was open to me at the time) and at Superchips HQ.

A case of 'whatever floats your boat' again I reckon.

Unhappy with previous Superchips experience here too.

Reason: failed to make stated power gains by quite some margin.

There weren't any 'stated power gains' when I got it. I was just told it would transform my car.

It didn't and it sucked.

Big time.

Revo, Jabba et al are transformations.

I thought Superchips were a brand of chips/crisps :D

Steve

I am sure they are in the states :D

Now now now. Don't be harsh' date=' it [b']did[/b] transform your car.

From a moderately quick and enjoyable experience to a sluggish boat :D

I stand corrected

Actually torque was up, bhp was down. Work that one out. Plus the delivery was a little uneven to say the least. Danny had the same symptoms before the 'mystery chip' was discovered and removed from his Octavia.
