Now that Citroen IS a car that I would love to see on the path.

IIRC isn't there a restoration company down south somewhere selling them.

Not too bad .... as long as you had all your fingers (including thumb) wrapped around the handle the same way :) If you just held it the normal way (i.e. fingers one side and thumb on the other) it would bite back at you and have seen those without the knowledge break thumbs very easily :rolleyes

Here's mine. 1969 Mustang Mach-1 fastback 5.9l of noisy V8.

(Still sitting on driveway where it's been for the last year as I haven't got round to getting it MOTd since it ran out  )

Always fancied a classic. In particular a Citroen DS as seen in virtually every french film.Love it!

I am sure I saw some spy shots of future citroens, possibly the C6.I am sure they were harking back to the lines of the DS.Will wait with baited breath!

I have a Spitfire 1500, for sunny days only.

Had it nearly two years now and have spent too much on it.

Getting twitchy about changing it for something with a V8, MG or Stag would be nice!

Martin

I oviously haven't had any cars cause furby is my first..... but arn't Rovers classic cars now?

No pictures I'm afraid, but I have a 1970 XJ6 Series 1 - it's a bit poorly at the moment with a suspected blown head gasket :(

My father-in-law is a bit of a classic enthusiast though and has these:

Austin 7 Ruby

Ford Anglia 1200 Super

Riley 1.5 (Great fun to drive)

Vauxhall Cresta Ute (Imported from Oz)

Ford Popular (Rounded shape, can't remember what model)

I've got a TVR Chimaera for weekend use, would attach a picture if I knew how  not really a classic ...yet.

Also got a part rebuilt mini cooper. My dad has a nice usable lotus elan +2s, a 1945 MG TC, a 1936 austin 10 and a 195? MG Y type.

Heres my Mk2 Golf GTI. :)

Ooh' date=' that's expensive, considering Clarkson's Lightning (fastest plane ever flown by the RAF) was about 1/10th of that. And in bits too...

I don't own a classic car, but am hiring a TR6 to drive SWMBO around in for her birthday. Saw what engine it had - 2.5l straight-6, and though 'I'm in for a good time', but no. Barely 100bhp - far less than my Furby! Guess I'll be sticking to the inside lane of the motorway...[/quote']

I have a friend who has a TR6, and it should be 125bhp at least, some had 150bhp.

I was following in my Spitfire recently, and just couldn't keep up. I think the 0-60 quoted when new was sub 10 secs for a TR6.

Well , let me know if you want to sell it...

That's incorrect. The TR6 was available firstly as 150bhp and later on as a detuned 125bhp. Don't worry, they're plenty quick enough :D Add a stainless exhaust and the fact that your **** is about two inches off the road and I don't think you'll find the car lacking.

A dog round town though, start some sort of workout now for your left leg ;)

I think you'll still enjoy the TR6, ap0gee :D Be careful on roundabouts though.

I've a Dolomite Sprint and an Austin 7, The Austin has to be one of the best cars ever, go anywhere for sure, even to the top of Ben Nevis. Still prefer classic Brittish Bikes though.

The other car's I've sold in the last year were a very good MG BGT from 67 and TR4a which was a pure bucket, open the doors together and the car bowed.
