Just caught up with this, chuffed Turks is saying, even better it's in a BMW! Just looked at the grid, how close? pretty much half a second covers the top 10! Going to have to get myself to a race this year.

Tordoff massively better than Neate. Good first 2 races for Plato!

  • I'll always support Plato purely because he winds people up but has the skills to back it up, unlike a certain Chris James who has blocked me on Twitter. I didn't say word to him either With Turkingt

I think Rouse is a great driver but his numbers are flattered by the fact that his second title was inherited due to politics  and his 4th was almost a given since he had the only turbocar in the top

Great job Matt Neal. Taking out your team mate's biggest competition effectively for the whole weekend. What a w4nk3r!

Watched it again. Turk was going around a slow-starting Shedden and was ahead of Neal who just took him out.

In front of the whole pack.

Deserves a ban, but as usual denies any responsibility.

What a ****.

Is this stockcar racing? That's lost points for BMR.

Bit of a theme today. Honda's crash off anyone who makes a good start.

I was raging at that, what an utter *****. Turks did well to come back in the second and third races, hopefully Matt the prat doesnt get the chance to ruin his race too often.

Oh dear,

Anybody would have assumed that the FWD lot have finally realised that a RWD car will get off the grid (especially Brands) alot quicker than them! Two very unnecessary collisions IMO.

Matt Neal is a weapon, he should know better and just hang up his gloves before he embaresses himself even more.

Turks had the measure of Jordan in the final race, as usual he was usper clean and chose the team game. Hopefully the favour will be repaid later in the season.

Er, Gloss Neal wasn't the only FWD driver to drift downhill off the line due to wheelspin. OK, he was the only one to take out someone the rest of you are fans of in race 1, but that doesn't make it deliberate.

Otherwise, BMW look fast, Subaru look slow, and I'd like to partly withdraw my comment about JP having no support since I wasn't aware that Ash Sutton was in a Grovel at that point!

You are so gullible for Matt's excuses. He drove diagonally hard right across the grid. A Schumacher-worthy move.

And the other Honda crasher was on the inside line. Did that drift up the hill to take Plato out?

Humbug...

Yeah, obviously Gloss is responsible for every driving error in any Honda on the grid! And you know more about driving touring cars at Brands than Paul O'Neill (no relative) or Tim Harvey do.

I heard Tim's comment and couldn't believe that he'd bought Matt Neal's lies as well.

Yes. The grid at Brands is on a slope and cars do sometimes move down the hill from the start.

No.  You wouldn't aim 45 degrees across it out of the gridslot without intent.

I believe he intended to close the gap, but got down there too late and the BMW was through already.

phoney pole and lap record for subaru!

Rob Austin on pole as fastest legal car.

phoney win for honda!

Shedden claimed it didn't matter the car failed post race scrutineering - because it wasn't intentional... better give subaru the pole position back as well then?

OK, congratulations to all at ITV Sport for how they handled the delay. Best wishes to Billy Monger for a speedy recovery.

But 2 hours to get him out of the car? Am I the only one who thinks that maybe F4 tubs need re-designing to make driver extraction easier and faster then?

I was laughing so hard when Matt wasnt allowed back for the restart and even harden when Shedden got excluded. Made my day!

I assume it was because of his condition and state of the car rather than the design. Could be a long old race day if it takes 90 min to get out the car each time :D

Sad news. 17 year old Billy Monger has lost his legs following that crash.

Awful for the young man.

I watched it live and feared the worst due to the lenghty stoppage.

Matt Neal surprises with pole at Thruxton in Honda / Toyota battle!

Turk 10th with lots of ballast (and quickest BMW)

Plato 21st (and getting hosed by young team-mate Sutton again)

It's time those Subaru's were further up the grid !

They did rather get f****d over by the 2017 rule changes.  One of the major advantages that informed BMR's choice of vehicle last year was the flat 4's low CofG. That has been taken away with a swish of Alan Gow's pen.

BTW, Ash Sutton is 9th on the grid in a Subaru - 6 rows ahead of Plato.

Sheddon done very well with 75kgs!

As a plato fan it's frustrating to see him so far down. But rules are rules. Just how much off an advantage would they have had if the rules didn't get changed? It's all a guess really.  Am sure I read somewhere that ash Sutton had done a lot off rwd in the past.  Hondas will be strong as well as Morgan goes well round here too I think. Good season so far. Tom Ingrams definatly a title condenser as well.

Contender. *

It's Thruxton so at least one of the races will be decided by a FWD puncture. Wonder if Flash will put a conservative set up on to mitigate that in the heaviest car? or just cruise around with Matt as a tail gunner?  Expecting Dynamics to run the 1st race tactically like Mercedes F1 used to.

Good race for the Hondas. They look superb. Neal will gain 54kgs off weight and sheddon will lose 9kgs from first race. Would like to see sheddon take Neal on the run to first corner.  And Neal be a road block with sheds into the distance.  Second race will be a bit more lively as well I hope :-)

Looks like Josh Sutton and Jake Hill have things to say to each other.
