Tordoff massively better than Neate. Good first 2 races for Plato!

  • I'll always support Plato purely because he winds people up but has the skills to back it up, unlike a certain Chris James who has blocked me on Twitter. I didn't say word to him either With Turkingt

I think Rouse is a great driver but his numbers are flattered by the fact that his second title was inherited due to politics  and his 4th was almost a given since he had the only turbocar in the top

Is it me or does their line up get less experienced every  year.  Lots of crash damage to come if I remember them 2 in Clios.

Still no sign of a drive for the Team Player from last year - you'd have thought an ex-works Honda (by way of "thank you for your help") might have been forthcoming...

Glad tbh. He's crap. As for the MG repair bill, we'll have to see. They might be at the back so there won't be much.

Anyone else inlove with the civic now? :D

The "team player" gets a drive with BKR, part of BMR. Pity.

I'm off to Donnington in a few mins for the free launch day

A few select ones from Tuesday's test session

The LCI 1'ers look amazing!

Tingram goes well in race 1

Tingram goes well in race 1

Was a great race, them hondas looked stunning

Ingram did well! I just hope that by the end of the season someone new wins it. Left a bitter taste people just letting Shedden through end of last year and Hondas still looking quick this year. The new Subaru's are nowhere but that's as expected. Race 2 about to start

I have supported the hondas for years so i love it when they win but would love a youngster to win tbh

#teamsubaru. Honda's....meh

Ok, I was apparently right about how much point there was in Team Dynamics wasting a seat on the Tidy One (compare his places with Flash and Matt's).

And well, the Urabus Grovel ;) looks to have potential, but not in time to put Colin or the Demon King ;) into the hunt.

Biggest waste of space on the grid is thr emmerdale bloke playing racing driver without the skill to do it

Decent start to the season, three races and three different winners. Subaru scored points with their new car. I prefer to see them on the Brands GP circuit as I think the Indy is a bit short.

Actually, my other thought is "why would I pay for F1 when TOCA package is free to air"?

And the fact that the toca package is enjoyable to watch and the f1's boring after 8laps haha

Was in the garage with Jake Hill yesterday (24).

It was a good days racing.

He was doing well, 19th to 13th in race 1.

Up to 10th in race 2 and showing good pace before a fuel pressure regulator fault ended his race.

Would have been great to see him up in the top 10 and nearer the front in race 3 with the random number thing they do.

Good work after qualifying and baring in mind the Avensis runs the older suspension set up. All the top teams are running the new suspension.

Well the grid is a mix of drivers being paid (well known good ones) and drivers paying for their drive (directly or though sponsorship) to have the fun/kudos of being a BTCC driver, or young talent hoping to show what they can do.

I bet having a paying driver really helps the teams finances.

I know what it costs and it isn't cheap by a long shot.  Damage isn't included either. :D

So true,

I've always said that if I won big on the lottery, i'd want to become a pay to drive racer in the BTCC or British GT series.

Pay your money, turn up and drive with having the kudos of being in the series. I don't think i'd care too much about not being on the pace with the professionals, i'd be having too much fun!

That's sort of my point; Jake Hill was making progress (before unreliability) and the Tidy One was struggling to beat cars that had broken down! ;) I've no doubt that a well-funded pay driver helps finances, but if I was in marketing for Halfords or Yuasa I'd be asking Team Dynamics questions about why their 3rd driver was so useless.

  • 2 weeks later...

The tidy one clears up and b*****s off after one round to "leave Shedden to it".  One less Honda for BMR to pass. Good stuff.

Carbeque for Cole. Not good.

Let's hope the Levorg does well today at Thruxton.
