ARRANGEMENTS

I will be at The Elan Valley Visitor Centre (http://www.elanvalley.org.uk/) from about 10.15 on Saturday, so look out for a red Land Rover Freelander 4 door parked, probably slightly away from the building.

I suggest that once we have all arrived we have a cup of coffee first, then drive through the Valley towards Claerwen Dam. I may stop on the way up as we pass a ruined dam that was destroyed by The Dambusters, and people might like to have a look.

At Claerwen we can stop at the bottom of the Dam first for some photos and a chat about how things are done green laning, then we can drive the lane, stopping at the end for lunch. We then return to the Dam and shall see how time is.

Should take us about 1hr15 to 30 depending on traffic etc..from here in sunny Worcestershire...BUT TP what time are you getting up??!!

Well 'PAT' and I are sort of ready for launching tomorrow at an eye watering 4:30 in the morning to ensure were not rushing. Plus silly me I've managed to trap a nerve in the back and the Monsters seat is most uncomfortable at the moment so will need to stop on route for &

It's a beautiful :sun: morning here in Worcestershire - hope it stays the same for The Elan Valley

We'll be heading into Herefordshire from Tenbury Wells along A456 approx 9am, then A49 to Leominster, then the A4112 becoming the A44 to Kington and onto Rhayader approx 10am ... so feel free to spot us in our Cappucinno Yeti on the way! :yes:

Safe drive there folks... I'm just on my 2nd cuppa of the morning... and now off into the herb garden to pick some pineapple, ginger and apple mint... for the Pimms :cocktail:

Thanks to Lady P, The Plumber, Aerofurb, and Freshacre for making it a good day. Some interesting results for me, and further confirmation that I WILL be ordering a Yeti.

Red shows the dirt most, and the white one looked cleanest.

The Yeti can cope well with this sort of rough lane.

Perhaps I might be persuaded to do it again, but now you know what they are capable off, how about someone else having a go?
