Brake Upgrades

Featured Replies

My front discs are probably about on the limit, which may be affecting pedal feel too I guess. Time to start shopping for new ones.

Are you going to upgrade discs Nick or use standard ones?

I'd like grooved ones but not sure mine are as common as the VRS ones. Currently I have standard discs all round, standard pads at the rear and the DS2500s at the front.

What size are the brakes on yours nick?

if they are 288mm they are a darn sight cheper than vRS discs!!!

Errm maybe slightly off topic, but for all of those who want to get DS 2500 pads & Super DOT 4/5.1 where do we get it from and what cost?

Thanks

I organised a group buy for the Octavia a while ago and can put you in touch with the suppliers if you PM me unless any others are interested in a Furby GB (5 minimum).

Er .... :o Dunno. Maybe an Etka-ite can help me out... I suspect they probably are smaller than the vRS ones. Not sure.

Is it worth changing the hoses to braided ones?

They're already braided - see the "mods worth doing" thread in "my performance"
