Too much IMO

I've always though grilles, mesh and any other area which is designed to let air through and has a black looking background should always remain black

Please decide you don't like it and fit a colour coded grille :p

At least I'll know its you if I see you around!!

You'd have thought with a username like yours you'd like it

Brimma, It's almost there, I don't dislike it, but feel it needs something else to finish the job. Don't listen to these nay-sayers and finish the job  Now all I have to do is persuade work they don't need to for out of hours work in Hampshire on Tuesday so I can get to Mansfield and see it in the flesh...

It'll be there - probably with my cheeks glowing the same colour, but hey, it's given you lot something to talk about

I think it would look better if the grill was black with a red surround. Hated it at first but it's suprisingly growing on me. You need to get rid of the chrome, maybe carbon fibre wrap it?

Wonder if I should get a lime green grill for my Race Blue'un...

What does your wife make of that Bryan? I presume she already takes the same dim view of this forum as mine does? Can't see this grille helping. :)

Might like it on a red car... I just think it's a bit too much. Maybe some of the above suggestions will improve it.

She doesn't know yet - I'll wait and see how long it takes for her to notice ;)

My money says you will have to point it out.

Looks a bit odd. Maybe as its the only bit of red at the front. Needs either all the other grilles in red or back to black.

Bright colours can work but they have to be done right. My old saxo VTS:

And a gay attempt at the BRM look which was quickly painted black again!

Brimma, you have balls my friend. :D

IMO something's not quite right about it, maybe its the chrome surround, maybe it should be black or maybe the lower grilles should be painted as well.

keep at it, and as you wrote, it's got us all worked up and chatting.

:)

I like it, including the chrome, but only because the car itself is black. I don't think it would go with any other colour.

I can guarantee it looks better in the flesh than it does in the pictures - light was fading a bit

The red is actually a lot deeper than it shows on here, which looks more orange

Paint the wheels red to match :)

Black and candy red wheels work. Heres a mates Polo.

 Like it

The reason you all dislike it is because its different.

It is missing something. Could someone Photoshop the Foglight rings the same colour???

Keep it comeing man! i like!

As you quite properly say - it has to be done right

Shame you never made it either
