Furby vRS - any shiny silver pics

Featured Replies

I keep mentioning at work (to anyone that will listen!) about my new car that I'll have soon, but as you can imagine some aren't sure about the Skoda thing. They know I wouldn't buy something crap, but I'd like to show them some proper pics. All the Skoda literature doesn't seem to have any silver models though?

So here's your opportunity to post some pictures of your shiny silver vRSes! Actually, any condition really :)

Cheers

Steve

Car's not mine, but the pic is ;)

shiny silver vrs...

Have you seen the amount of crud on the roads at the moment? I washed and waxed mine on Saturday, did 30 mile in it and it is black again :(

I did say they could be in any condition :)

Feel free to post anything - at least grubby pics will show people they're being used properly

You don't get more "proper" than blatting it around a track... :)

monkey hanger - those action pictures are good - especially the second one with the sea behind the car - great work

hellfire - those pics could be in the brochure - they look the business

what camera did you both use?

Thanks plumsoul

I used a Olympus Camedia C-350, I had to resize the pictures to 640x480 as it takes them in about 3000x2000 or something ridiculous, and it's really good at highlighting colours without highlighting imperfections.

Mine's a Camedia c2500L-it's too clever for me. I don't really know how to get the best out of it tbh. I tried to take a picture of my octy in front of the sea on a sunny day but just got a black car (mine's silver) and shiny sea. Have taken some good ones purely by accident though.

Cheers for all the photos guys, some great ones there

Steve

what camera did you both use?

Canon EOS 300D with Sigma 135-400 Lens.

Shots were taken at the recent Anglesey trackday :)

How do you find your 300D Geoff? I have an EOS 5 at present, and am getting increasingly tempted to take the plunge to digital as the 300D prices come down. You can get a 'refurbished' one from Canon on ebay with a 1 year canon warranty for about

Wouldn't bother with a refurb to be honest.

They're not much more brand new with the Canon rebate...

Think refurb essentially means the box might have been opened. Will check out that site, cheers.

You'd recommend the camera then?

oooh. Much cheapness. Good site! :)

I know its not a vRS but this is the cleanest/most waxed I got furby Mk1 before I trashed it in Wales!

Probably wasn't that clean, but you can't tell from a distance ;)

Absoloutely.

And your current lens will be 100% compatible as long as it's a genuine Canon EF.

Also, any lens fitted to the 300D is effectively multiplied by a factor of 1.6 due to the sensor...

e.g. a 100mm becomes a 160...

Hmmm... interesting. I have a couple of sigma lenses, guessing these wouldn't work then?

Depends how old they are. They usually throw an "Error 99" on the camera if they are not 100% compatible.

Even if they don't work, some can be re-chipped (no chipping arguments please).

Contact Sigma with serial numbers if they don't work :)

Ok, cheers for the tips. Very tempted now!
