Well Folks! Picked her up at 11:00 am this morning. The bad news was that, for some reason, some of the trim accessories were unavailable to order, namely;

Stainless Steel Door Sill Covers

Stainless Steel Foot Pedal Covers

Lateral Side Protectors with Aluminium inserts

Dealer is going to update me why this is the case.

The good news was that, she looked stunning anyway!!! An interesting (and quite surprising) fact, the dealer told me, was that mine was in the top 5 most expensive Skodas ever sold in the UK. Although I got a reasonable discount for paying cash, the list price with all the options and accessories was getting close to £28,000. The most expensive has been a fully loaded Superb at about £30,000.

So! Here are a few pics as promised.

Quick First Impressions are;

• Just how nimble and quick she is. This machine is NOT slow.
• Love the elevated driving position with good all round visibility.
• Sunroof and Sat Nav is great!
• Was expecting a fair bit of noise from the Roof Bars / Luggage Basket but it's not bad at all. There is some (obviously!) but nothing terribly intrusive.
• No squeaks and rattles yet but too early to tell what she'll be like once run in.

The side steps aren't a Skoda option. They're from a German company called Cobra. There's another thread somewhere with all the details. Yes, I think Aerofurb will have some competition now.

Just blanked off the first part of the plate with Photoshopso that's not the whole reg. Bought it from the DVLC quite a few years back now. It cost £500 originally but it's now worth around £2K.

There does seem to be a very slight bluish tinge in the photos but the colour is actual the Pearlescent Metallic Black.

Bleedin ell must be my poota, it looks a very very dark blue on my screen (or it could be my 50m yr old eyes lol)

I think you might need to get your monitor calibrated (or your eyes tested! ). It has the Black Onyx interior. I will try and get some detailed interior shots done soon.

Cheers Octy888! I do hope you get the problems with yours sorted out. Just goes to show that Friday afternoon jobbys still exist eh? A big pity when something like this happens to spoil what should be such a good experience with an otherwise fabulous car.
