Snooper S4 Neo

Featured Replies

I bought one of these and have had it for some time. It says that it picks up all types of camera but the other day i went past a hand held radar (saw it luckily) and it didn't work. It has only ever picked up Gatso cameras and even missed some of them

I have since been told I need to get another part for it to pick up the hand held detectors.

Has anyone had any experience with S4 or attachments?

Is it GPS based?

If the database is out of date then it will miss some cameras.

I don't know enough about the S4 specifically...is it supposed to have an inbuilt radar detector? If it does, you might want to try re-positioning the device - generally it will need to be along the centre line of the car, as the radar gun will be pointed at your number plate.

The other option is that the radar gun wasn't pointed at you, in which case it probably wouldn't detect it...

The S4 Neo has GPS & laser detection, not radar. I have one myself and update my database weekly, it's never failed me - ever. Even alerted me to police with laser guns on the A55 a number of times. Admittedtly, it doesn't pick up radar but all that's going to bring is endless false alerts from automatic door sensors, traffic light sensors etc which you become immune to, then don't react to when it's a real alert...
