New HID kit

Have a look at the kit in your boot. Is it a 50 W CANBUS kit? If there are 2 versions of the 50 W kit, same as the 35W, then the kits are obviously different, and need to be treated in the same way as the 35 W.

If they are a 50W canbus, then they will have the large capacitors across the rails, potentially damaging to the controller.
