Just cleaned the car and noticed even with polishing that it's pitted.

Cheapo tin I suspect.

Yep,noticed it on ours yesterday. I think the salt lies on the flat top or the oval. Buffed it out as best poss with wadding polish that does'nt scratch like chtome paste

Noticed black pitting on the alloys now too.

Feel a possible warranty claim coming on.

I get the impression our cars are prone to marks, pitting and whatever else. I'm sure mine is as well, but i aint checked. I know my bonnets got about 100 stone chips in it now.... past caring TBH
