Arrgh!!

What a horrible thing!! Hope shes going to be okay!

Were there any witnesses, or did they own up? Its bad enough that it happened but right after you washed it - in this weather. Fuk!

Good luck getting it all sorted out. How bad is the damage?

So sorry to hear that....I am soooooo glad i have a driveway and garage.

She stopped further down the road. Got all the details and the insurance is going to sort it out.

She said she was dazzled by another car and moved over. Obviously too far!

Put a large scratch down the drivers door, smashed the wing mirror housing to pieces and bashed in the front wing. :(

Looks like the front bumper is undamage tho, as that is a VRS only bit.

Its booked it to be repaired in January. So will have to put up with driving it over christmas with a 'damaged' look.

Could of been worse, glad I wasnt still washing the wheels at the time

That totally sucks. Glad no one was hurt and the car is repairable... I had the pleasure of meeting some ice and then the front of another car the other week hence my new purchase of a fabia.

Sunday morning. Went out to start deicing the Octy. Minus 4 degrees outside! After 10 minutes the car was clear inside and out. Got in and prepared to do a u-turn to go and get the papers. I looked in my mirrors and saw a white car coming down the street so I waited. I looked again and saw the white car hadn't moved much so I pulled out and did my u-turn which meant that I was facing the white car - a Toyota. I noticed that it was coming down the road very slowly. To my horror I then noticed that the driver couldn't see out of the windscreen which was totally obscured by ice, and that she was being guided by her passenger who was leaning out of the window and shouting instructions to her

The system wasn't working very well as she was by now heading straight towards me

I sounded my horn, frantic instructions were issued from bridge to engine room and she sailed by with a couple of feet to spare

bloody hell that was a close one mate

that is just plain stupidity and should be banned for it!

Probably didn't want to break her fingernails clearing the ice...

Some dozy bint sailed straight into the back of my over the road neighbours car doing exactly that same thing a couple of years ago...one less potential chav'd Nova to admire.

She openly admitted that she couldn't see where she was going.

A mate had is Volvo estate written off my a woman in a Toyota who said she was dazzled by the sun so speeded up.
