Service spanner came on!!!!

Featured Replies

Although if it's modified already you've lost your warranty anyway ;)

Chris

Not if the dealer/importer remapped it theirselves. In holland you can just take it as an option. And no warranty gets lost.

Would it be on variable servicing? my car has the same 130 tdi pd lump and the first service was at 29,000 or is the Fabia different as regards service intervals

Fabia is fixed 10k servicing.

Superb can be variable, mine is and has just started to tell me that a service is due in 1000 miles....its done 12.5k so far.

Its is not my first new car but my last one was an astra and that had 20k fixed intervals.

But not to worry because Its is all sorted with my dealer servicing on the 4th jan no warranty lost.

There's a letter somewhere on Briskoda that states that the Fabia vRS is Fixed (10K) servicing only, as apparently it lacks a couple of sensors needed for the variable programme.

The other cars with the PD130 are all capable of being set for variable AFAIK. :)

In line with this thread, My OIL & SPANNER came on @ 15K, altho I DID take it to the dealer @ 10K for a service, subsequently had the ECU set when the warning came on , have now just gone over 19K miles and expecting the OIL & SPANNER to return.

Ross doesnt the warning come on approx 1000 miles close to service due?

It should come on 9000 miles after the previous service :D
