Delivery Dates For Octavia Vrs

Thought it might be a nice idea if we kept a short table / list of people who have ordered there cars and when they hopefully will be produced. This might give us an idea of what colours spec (auto/manual) are being produced first.

Please note this thread is only for cars ordered in 2010, as would not show a true reflection with the news re delays to diesels ordered in 2011

Hi, all just thought I would let you know have got a provisional build date for my skoda. give me week seven, feb 2011.

Thought it might be a nice idea if we kept a short table/or list of people who have ordered there cars and when they hopefully will be produced. This might give us an idea of what colours spec (auto/manual) are being produced first.

Adminstrators I am willing to run it and monitor it editing the posting every couple of days, could this be made a sticky if we get enough interest.

Standard spec Darren, adding white coding of chrome grill and Eibachs (at dealer) with gloss black alloys (local company, prior to delivery), may also go for gloss black roof wrap...Not sure why timeline is shorter, dealer is exceptional though and on my case...Won't be surprised if things slip though.

surely the last 2 posts answer the question

Not sure if the diesel delay theory holds.

Mine (Black 140 CR Elegance Estate, only factory fitted extras were TPM and spare wheel) was ordered mid-May, built last week of July, iirc, and was available for collection late Aug, collected 2 Sept as a 60 plate, exactly as per 14 week forecast.

It's not a DSG. Nor a VRS, so either of those factors (either the 170CR engine or gearbox) may be causing the logjam?

Why not have a nice refined 140CR instead of that nasty vulgar vRS anyway. True, it's 1.2 seconds slower getting to 62mph, but three months faster in arriving. (Like 7.7 million seconds faster)

If it helps, or confuses the issue, not sure - but ordered my petrol VRS estate (manual) start of August and collected today, a little ahead of the 12-16wk estimate... no sunroof (only reason I mention it is the dealer said that would extend the wait a little)...
