I feel for you, week 50 is a joke considering it was ordered in June and i thought i had it bad!

Skoda UK said the extended delay was due to the options on my car - 170 CR +dsg. Makes no sense as yours had leather +xenons too. JonnyIrl`s car arrived even quicker

Have front parking sensors + mf steering wheel + auto dim mirror +spare +mdi added another 6-14 weeks on?

AGHHHHH....Just called the dealers.....my blue vRS manual 2.0TFSI has now been put back to week 49!

I've just had an update from the dealer, my car has gone back from build week 42 to 50!! Not a happy bunny!!

Sorry to all you guys who have had there dates put back. Looking like the majority of us are not going to see our cars till 2011. Does anybody know how long it takes on the boat to bring them to the uk?

Finally a bit of good news! now wk 47. If it stays like this, then due at dealers wk 51.

Wonder if it will be 2011 reg, or will Skoda UK insist car registered in 2010? I will probably be taking a loan car from wk 44, as I have a px. Seat did this to me with my current car,even though it was stuck at the docks in uk due to fog, until Jan 07.

Just spoken to the dealer to be told now week 45. Suggested I try again in a "couple of weeks" and see if "it has moved again, the right way this time"!

I am still hoping to get my car at the end of November (well here's hoping they can put it on the ship on 21st, then deliver and PDI in a week)

Not 100% sure on exactly when mine was ordered but it was around the 15th July and its due to be dropped off to me on Friday.

Spec should be, I aint saying to much until its here in my hands and checked, White vRS estate oil burner with a manual box, MDI, xenons, auto lights etc, variable boot floor and maxidot.

Roll on Friday.

I dont think it takes more than about a week. My dealer confirmed my car was at Emden on 4th and it arrived to the UK today (12th), so 7-8 days max on the boat, it looks like...

My 500 is PX for the Octy, here are a couple of Dilemas -

I am putting miles on the 500 along with risk of damage whilst the order gets delayed.

I have a plate I want transferring across which if the dealer does when the car arrives it will cost £80, to put on retainer is £110.

Just told dealer that at the end of Nov, & that delay could add 600 miles to the 500 as with wk44 build i would have got it just in time .

Whilst I can do without the car now, I am concerned about the miles being added, specially the 600 @ end of Nov. The dealer has offered a loan car for the Nov trip so I dont add the 600 miles.

Do it just bite the bullet & pay the £110 retainer & let the car go, wit a risk of not having a car for end of Nov

OR

Do i negotiate a loan car for family trip putt plate on retainer, & let dealer have my PX car ?

When it came to my part-ex. the dealer said that it was their problem that they couldn't source us a car earlier and to use our car exactly how we wished until then. So effectively it was a free rental car, as the payments were coming directly off the cost of the new one, as the value was already agreed.

i think what some of you have said about diesels taking longer maybe true

The thing that really annoys me is that i've agreed part exchange at a certain mileage and i average over 1800 miles a month. so every week delay is going to cost me a considerable amount in lost px price and every extra week driving a 1.2 petrol up and down german autobahns is going to cost me considerably more in fuel.

AAAGGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well better add my VRS CR170 to the ever growing list of build week push backs !!! Ordered July and now looking at build week 48 !!!!! Ive gone for all extras except Sat Nav on full leather. Better be worth the wait !!!!! :wonder: :wonder: :wonder:
