Congratulations to Rob as Bettsy said who is doing your grill for you and if don't mind how much that cost you.

Come on everyone else there should be a lot of you according to the list if I've managed to keep it upto date due to get there cars now or already collected us. Please let us know so we can update the list with when it was collected. There should be light at the end of the tunnel for a lot of us.

Me personally not sure whats happening with mine as phonned the dealer to ask if could add extra equipment on so this might have extended my date, however my dealer is on holiday for two weeks so will phone next week. I am aware that I can phone Skoda but will wait to get depressed.

Darren - Dealer closed for 2 weeks - that is not good business sense, if you really want the extras, see if SUK will add them now, then advise dealer when they come back off holiday.

I have asked our demo team to contact you directly to try and fill the request.

Lead times are indeed long at present. Down to such high demand for the product range. That said we have negotiated an increase in production with our factory so should start to see the lead times reduce going into 2011.

There was a post here a few weeks ago from a member that did a factory tour in Czech republic, the guide telling them the factory max output was 800 cars per day, & was running at just over 750.

I cannot see where this reduction in time scale is going to come from next year, unless current production is only 5 days per week & after xmas is going up to 7. Would be nice to clarify.

If they take it to max output thats another 350 cars a week! which will reduce delivery times by about 350 cars.

Was due to get dealer to paint grill, today encountered a wee problem with coded grill, the dealer body shop guys have real concern about paining and baking the chrome grill, they don't have a problem painting plastics, its the chrome coating they think may react to the baking process and may flake off shortly after.....

So may have to rethink following delivery.

Anyone know of a robust professional preparing/ painting process to deal with this?

My paperwork is through from the DVLA, so pick up my Octy on Monday

Ordered 3rd September collect November 15th - just over 10 weeks. I just hope it has the options I specified - Maxidot, Auto Wipers and Auto Lights.

I will be gutted if not, but will still take it, I dont want to be drawn back into the 'How long do I have to wait?'

To everyone still waiting for their Octy to arrive, I hope it comes along very soon.

Just had an email stating that due to bad weather there will be no more boats sailing in November! That means i won't get my car that's sat at the docks anytime soon. I'm on holiday from 21/12/10 until mid January as well , i'm not sure what implications this will have on the VAT offer and delivery dates.

I'm on the verge of cancelling and demanding my money back now, I ordered on 18th of June with a 12 week lead time.

Just seen this thread.... Ordered mine on 7th May 2010, with a 12-16 week lead time at worst..... am still waiting now!

Dont know where your dealer is getting that info from, but the SCHELDE HIGHWAY is currently in Emden, & next destination is Grimsby today, info as of 12:18 today - SCHELDE HIGHWAY

Just spoke to Skoda UK and they haven't heard anything about cancelled crossings....they did say that they are sometimes delayed due to high winds-but she wasn't aware of any disruptions so far......lets hope they are ok because mine is being built this week and will be waiting to be shipped next week!
