i have a build week of 49

ordered 18th sept

my problem is, they are building these cars just before xmas

i think we all tend to take our eye of the ball as xmas approaches

i assume the guys building my car might just be the same as me !!

i think what some of you have said about diesels taking longer maybe true

The thing that really annoys me is that i've agreed part exchange at a certain mileage and i average over 1800 miles a month. so every week delay is going to cost me a considerable amount in lost px price and every extra week driving a 1.2 petrol up and down german autobahns is going to cost me considerably more in fuel.

Build week now moved to week 47, but i'm definitely not going to rely on that yet

20th July ................... Silver................. Hatch....F&R Park-Manual-Maxidot.... Diesel..................Week 46 ( was 35, 42,43,44).

I will be getting this wk50/51 now, by this time i will have waited 27/28 weeks , I wonder if i can pick it up Xmas eve that would make 28 weeks

I have a private plate so it doesnt matter, & the car is MY11 anyway as this starts in Sept, new reg isnt till March, so no point really.

True ! but with a private 58 plate on, which i wouldnt remove till actual sale anyway, would make the car appear even older.

There should be a build date allocated to your order if it has been placed on the system even if its not a confirmed order, if your dealer says there is no date then ask him for the allocated order number & speak to SUK. 8+ weeks & still no number is stretching it a bit far - Then get any updates from SUK

If the dealer says he doesnt have an order number, then ask why ( once the order has been placed on SUK system one is generated.) & ask how they will keep track of your order if there is no number. ( SUK will only answer queries by order number).

Also ask what date the dealer put the order on the system, this will dictate compensation if delivery is beyond 18weeks.

i ordered mine on 18th september

it took a couple of weeks to get a build date

i had to badger them for one

they finally gave me wk 49

mine is petrol

i understand diesels are taking longer

LFC cheers for the excel spreadsheet, already running one but feel that people prefer to see it on the screen in front of them, will however start adding it as an option to the initial thread.

Your sheet is very useful to see if there is a pattern around build schedule, having looked at all your sheets, the therory arounc batches of cars being dne by colour, goes out the window, there is a pattern go gear box, although i suspect a larger sample of orders would be needed to see any pattern.

Like most people I am curious to find out reason why build weeks change ?

Realised details here are wrong - I ordered it on July 15th not Mid June. It's arrived October 22.

So ordered July 15th - hence 15 week wait, although I'll get it delivered next Friday so 16 weeks and 1 day after I ordered it.

Details were black manual diesel VRS with rear parking sensors, auto wipers + diming rear mirror, and space saver spare wheel.
