Just got back from the extreme motorsport rolling road meet.Considering im not 100% sure the cars running right it made very good figures for a K03s.Made 245.5bhp and 278.7lbs :rofl::thumbup: To be honest it feels faster on the road but thats probably the torque.Does anyone know what gain if any a decat might give? ...Time for a ko3 hybrid now :giggle:

car feels faster on the road??????? 245 on a k03s is lots infact i would say its a very generous figure to say the least :smirk:

.A brand new focus zetec s standard @ 125bhp made 126bhp so im guessing its pretty accurate.I know most people will raise an eyebrow at the bhp figure but it made 228bhp with a rubbish map and believe me its alot quicker now and has held its own against modded focus st's and sti's.Im happy with it anyway.Oh its run on v power plus race addative hence the flame on the dyno :giggle:

Ben @ shark said it would be about 280lbs and he was right.Just fitted a new genuine MAF and standard N75 after removing N75J to make sure it was running well on the day.

awesome figure and very nice car too at the end of the day people will allways put optmistik figures ,but when it comes to it dont matter about figure its how it makes you feel :rofl:

power stops at 4500rpm correct??? so you will be changing g

Its a K03s remember.I see it as the turbo cant maintain 20psi and drops off to about 12-15psi @ 6k even after timing adjustments.

The N75J was good for a boost spike but delivery was lumpy at best.What N75 do you recomend?

dont know but the last map would rev out like a diesel at 5800?

It looks like a graph of my old cars when you put road rally cams in,all mid range and not alot up top....abit like me :rofl:

Make a quick car in the real world though and you dont have to scream it to make it go..but it is strange and thats how it feels on the road..ive never taken it to 6500rpm because theres no point on my car anyway.

.. and its dropping fast too.

Could be very unpleasant in an overtaking situation - you can get to 4.5 rpm quite quickly too

Dropping fast?!!! looks pretty steady holding above 240 ish from 4600rpm to 6+

Please post a stage 2 graph on here then where it makes all the power at the redline with your ideal map so i can compare. :dull:

In reference to" unpleasant overtaking situation" surely thats what you have a gearbox for? and with very little lag on a ko3 there no hanging around.Once i have a decat and a WOT box finally fitted all will be well in the world.

you guys are reading the graph wrong !!!! which is pretty funny as some of the comments are hilarious!

the one with a peak from 3k to 4.5k is the TORQUE !!!

the one which has a max between 4.5k and 6k is the POWER !!!

if you don't believe me do some calculations to convert the two quantities taking account of the engine rpm.

b.t.w if my car had a map on it like is being suggested (no power above 4.5k rpm) it would be seriously quiche to drive)

Yes mate, torque and bhp cross and switch places on the graph, where the torque starts to drop and the bhp stays high :)

if that is the case when i get another one of these i will have to book a sharky remap

p.s.s ben what power then do you think would be possible with a decat high flow mannifold. high flow exhaust, high flow fuel pump ??????

As I mentioned before we did that Leon with 251hp and an Octavia with similar power (only to be told it wasn't possible ;)). 250 is about as far as it's going to go realistically, after that it's K04 time for another 35-45hp.

well today might be the day you have converted me ben

i can safely say if you can reprecate that on a vrs i own at some point you will be a legend ben top work

p.s it will be a hybrid of some sort on the next one ben ;-) ( i will be intouch when i get one and have it ready for you to work this magic and oggy to clean lol)
