PERSONAL breakdown cover

Featured Replies

As opposed to individual car breakdown cover.

I have access and drive several different vehicles, and would rather have personal cover rather than cover for each individual car/van.

I know it's going to be more expensive, but probably worth my while tbh, as all the vehicles bar one are now well out of warranty.

Don't seem to be able to find a comparison site for such a thing.

Any experiences or recommendations anyone?

AA provide personal cover as standard

I am only aware of the AA providing such cover, they will cover you whichever car you are in that breaks down and you dont even need to be the driver.

Interesting.

By coincidence, the AA cover that came with my new van last November has just run out, and they've invited me to re-join for £54 for vehicle cover.

I think I'll ring them up and ask if I can upgrade to personal cover then going by what you two are saying, tar!

Rang them You were both right.

Sorted for a mere £50.74 too!

The renewal invitation was in the paper re-cycling bin too!

Cheers lads

AA, RAC and Green Flag all do personal cover as i was checking them out earlier this year.

We went with the RAC as it was actually cheaper to cover the wife and myself as a two person personal cover than it was to cover our two vRS's!!!

Cheers

Dave.

Have any of you asked your insurance company about breakdown cover - a lot now do it ,and at a heavily discounted price .

I am also with the RAC - I think I paid circa £70 in February this year, but got £20 cashback through Quidco.com.
