Holy Thread Revival Batman!

Nice to see how things have progressed. Mr Sharkrider talking about hybriding his Punto and has had two Fabia vRS since.

1st - Vauxhall Astra Mk3 1.4 Hi-Torq (yeah right!) N320 UEL - Was my parents for years then I had it. Learnt so much about driving in that car plus plenty of great memories. Best car to me

2nd - VW Polo 1.4S X214 HCY - Bag of shiite. Bought of a "mate" who didn't say the belt needed doing. Tensioners had shattered so left me with a £200 bill. At 18 and just spent everything I had on a new car it stung a bit. Ghost EML, cut out regularly, small puddles stumped it. Too small for my legs and hurt my knees. Sold to a chav within 24hrs. Last seen with shiite wheels, tints, lowered.

3rd - Skoda Fabia vRS FD56 TZY - Bought locally off someone wanting a Land Rover to tow with so had it cheap. My first "fast car". Taught me how to go and stop properly and what understeer and aquaplaning was. Part Ex'd for the current vRS

4th Fabia vRS Estate - 17000 miles and been good so far

Well the first car I owned was a Rover SD1 2600 and my first car I had on the road was a Vauxhall Viva.

I'm not going to list the rest as I stopped counting years ago when I went past 100 and its around 150 or so now.

But they include Range Rovers, Capris, Mk2 RS 2000 Escort, and many more.

Currently running a Skoda Superb a Landrover Discovery and a LWB Shogun.

I also bought a 1994 rover 214sei (105bhp) for three weeks while having the micra, bought for £90 with a months tax & test, stuck some new brake pads on it.. Sold it for £350.

1. Peugeot 205 1.1 LOOK - white, with white wheel trims and white wiper boots!

2. Peugeot 309 1.3 GLX - metallic grey, with GTI seats (v.comfy) and a large glass slidey sunroof.

3. Skoda Octavia 2.0 GLX - in granite. nice car, loved it, comfiest thing I'd ever driven.

4. VW Passat S 1.9 TDI PD130 - awesome. Jabba remapped and mild mods meant it demolished miles at a stupendous rate. Died in a crash.

5. VW Passat 1.9 TDI 105bhp - a bit of a let down. Reliable, but dull.

6. Vauxhall Astra 1.7 CDTi SXi - a touch smaller than I would have liked, quite tinny. But economical, with good body control.

7. Ford Mondeo 1.8 TDCi Edge - basic, poverty spec, but cruise control and a Parrot kit fitted by previous owner sold it. Surprisingly comfortable & humongous boot. Shame about the body roll.....

1. 1994 Vauxhall Corsa 1.2 8v LS (with full central locking!) - Was played with by one of its 7 previous owners by putting a Nova SR cam in it. Was faster than my friends 1.4 8v counterpart! Totally standard looking 5dr otherwise.

2. 2001 Vauxhall Astra 1.7 DTi ECO4 - Bought it on 100k and it never put a foot wrong. £30 a year to tax and 50mpg+ pretty much everywhere. Until I did this to it...

3. 1992 Vauxhall Astra 1.4 8v GLS - Bought a tieover car due to insurance not giving me a courtesy car. Bought for £400, polished up and sold for £500 a month later with 2k more miles on it!

4. 2003 Vauxhall Astra 2.0 DTi SRi - A rare car as not many people bought them from new!

It looked like this the day I picked it up....

And like this when I sold it (minus the roof rack!).... One of those cars I never should have sold, didn't put a foot wrong even after numerous rantings round Combe!

5. 2007 Vauxhall Astra 1.9 CDTi 150 SRi XP - Bought what I thought was a nice car with massive spec - It ate 2 gearboxes and 6 DMF's and emptied my savings so I gave up and sold it after 18 months of battles.

6. 2006 Skoda Octavia vRS 2.0T FSI - Race Blue. What I should have bought before the Astra! Really good spec for a early MK2. Jumbo Box, All Electric Windows, Sat Nav, Maxidot, Climate Control, Xenons, TPMS, 18 inch Alloys and FSH.

Needs a bit of tidying up but it wont be long before its up to standard

I started off with this 1988 MG Metro with tinted windows and PCS big bore exhaust.

Then had this 1989 R5 GT Turbo,re jetted carb, stage 4 turbo, Mongoose exhaust,Blitz boost controller,Blitz blow off valve,Half Roll cage, Alloy intercooler, cobra seats, Koni suspension, Borbet C's, and loads of other stuff..

After that split a liner, I got this 2003 Honda Civic Type R with Mongoose exhaust, blitz induction , ICE and facelift rear lights.

I part Ex'd the Civic for a 2006 Nissan Micra 160sr which stayed standard except for better ICE.

Then my current 2006 Skoda Octavia TFSI VRS, standard at the moment except for a Bolero head unit and ECS alloy oil filter housing

1st: 1994 Audi 80 Avant

Had it a year, put 21k on it and then it tried to kill me (wishbone snapped at 70mph)

2nd: 2003 Skoda Fabia vRS

And I'm still driving it a year and a half later

That's a Fiat 128 Panorama (sort of estate version of the 128 saloon).

Re. the last one mentioned, I assume you mean Cinquecento.

My list is:

1. 1978 Citroen Dyane (bought new and sold in 1990 to a friend)

2. 1990 Peugeot 205 CTI 1.6 (bought new and crashed into a parked bus on Xmas night by wife :( )

3. 1999 Renault Kangoo 1.9 D (bought new and crashed into a roundabout by wife :( )

4. 2001 Renault Kangoo 1.9 DTi (bought new and given away to a friend one month ago as too old to stand next winter traffic regulation)
