VRS S2000

Featured Replies

The S2000 tag is slightly confusing. :S

When the WRC becomes S2000 they will all have 1.6 engines, not 1.4. This special edition is still only a 1.4 as it is a standard vRS.

It does have an S2000 livery though, which I suppose is how they justify it the S2000 tag.

Hmmm i read through the whole acticle and after that i read the comments underneath.

Every comment struck a chord with me...

It makes the mk2 vrs look more boy racer and childish even through it still looks dull!

Only way it could be called a s2000 is for it to have wider arches.

Skoda have had poor sales of the vrs - no wonder their target market (ie current fabia vrs owners) want a good value, sporty diesel and with proper vrs styling.

So by putting on go faster stripes and halfords-like stickers will not tempt me!

Only from the previous two (at least) threads there have been on the subject ;)

For it to be called S2000 , they should shoehorn either the Diesel or petrol engines from the VRS Octavia in

A certain French manufacturer risked it...........

So come on Skoda................give us a road-going rally version

vinyls???? anyone can stick them vinyls on there vrs....thats rather disappointing.

Wheres the AWD 300bhp monster we all crave? (or maybe just me?!?)

Well, if you think that the Octavia WRC's all sold, eventually, then I suppose someone will buy these but so early in the car's life does smack of a certain desperation and the enormous discounts available on the standard model would indicate that they've built the wrong car. And only 20 says even the dealers didn't think they would sell.

Let's be honest, the best looking one of the current VAG superminis is the SEAT version and the TD140CR engined Ibiza FR is about as close as we're going to get to a Fabia vRS this time around.

Sorry Skoda, I don't want a S2000 special edition. Which is a shame, because when I thought it was a wide-bodied S2000 replica, I was desperately clicking to see it and wondering who to send my deposit to.

It looks stupid.

Now why didnt they release this as the s2000 ?

It still needs big arches to make it stand out IMHO :S

Man that's tacky.

I'm a Peugeot fan really, love the 205 T16 but the 207 super 2000 just looks amazing IMO

Poor show from Skoda... :S

It looks stupid.

+ 1 - totally dreadful.

+2 - Pathetic effort really.

Is it just a different paint job / vinyl covering?

There is a lad on here who has this Fabia. B)

They have to release so many road going versions of the car in question in order for it to be allowed to enter the S2000 series of rallying

could have sold 100's if they made a wide arch more powerful monster.

its cr4p

looks like an old mans car with some stickers on

No - that's not relevant in this case. This car is celebrating Skoda's success in the 2010 season - and it's just a decorated totally standard vRS - nothing special apart from the stickies.
