Can't really see the colour in a black and white picture!

Check this car out. Very cool colour, Platinum Grey.

Platin Grey is the same as Steel Grey right? Looks very light in those pictures. Glad I didn't go for the black wheels!

Just picked mine up today :)

Looking good. Id watch how much trackwork you do as the steering rack is made of chocolate as ive just found out. Mine has done 9 trackdays and less than 16k mileage. £750+VAT for the rack alone!!

No, Platin Grey is "platinum" grey, a lighter shade - somewhere between silver and the regular darker grey metallic.

No, they are different names for the same colour. Mine is Steel Grey according to Skoda UK, Platin Grey according to the factory. Platin Grey is not mentioned in any of the UK brochures or website.

We can rename the thread "Confide's spam-thread, 56k-killer!"!

I like the effect, very nice, not too agressive :)

One thing occured to me though. The original paint is covered by plasticote and therefore will be ageing differently to the exposed one. Are you not concened that when you decide to take the stripes off it will show in some undesired fashion? Not to rain on your parade or anything, love this kind of mods but I think it is a valid question.

Cheers

J.

Sure is a valid question... however, I don't plan to remove it =).

Quite the opposite, I tend to do more off this ;).

Ah, OK. My mistake. We have had a darker grey here in Australia, which I assumed was the "steel" grey.

EDIT: It seems the darker grey is called "Anthracite Grey".

yeah your grey was replaced with another on the 2013 vrs`s
