The ultimate Mk2 wheel whore thread

Featured Replies

See - I told you - no spoiler = cool!

Funny you should say that Rob, I've often thought the same-the Octy 'sport' lip spoiler is nicer IMO.

Don't think I'd take mine off though, having said that! :p

No spoiler FTW ;)

Having said that, I'll get a Sport spoiler on at some point :D

I would sooner remove my testicles with a rusty blunt carving knife than remove my rear spoiler.

Sometimes you guys just go a WEE bit too far :p

You need to have tried both before you can say which you prefer....:giggle:

Really? :p

Bit of tyre gloss and you have a win there Mr Brimma

Yours look good Moley - as I thought, better with the caps in. Any chance of a wider shot of the whole car, with them fitted?

As requested...we are at Bluestone this week near Tenby.

That looks really good Moley

Yup, looks spot-on. Don't know if it's my monitor at work, but the pictures are awfy dark.

Cheers for the pics.

Pics are a little under-exposed I think, but nothing too bad. I have my monitor toned down a fair bit, but they look a little dark to me too. I expect the camera's metered against the sky, rather than the car :)

What we really should be doing is starting a book on the ultimate wheel whore himself getting bored of bis new bling bling wheels, and putting new rims on his hearse AGAIN. I say 3 months and he will find another set of rims he wants whilst going through an alloy wheel catalogue whilst sat on the throne in the 'reading room' LOL

Oh ye of little faith

To be fair I hardly think the iPhone is up there with an SLR so I'm not surprised the pics look ****e. I have took some pics today with my 'proper' camera. I'll post those over the weekend.

Did a quick fix in Photoshop Moley, not perfect but helps to see the wheels and car a bit better:

Well done that man! Second picture is likely to be my desktop pic when I get home.

Really pleased with the look of my Octy now. It seems that the Eibachs have dropped about 30mm since being fitted, maybe it's the weight of a DSG diesel!?!?

I can't believe just how much stuff the Octy can swallow up too. 2 kids under 3 carry alot of baggage and the Octy just takes it no problem. It really is a great car and whilst parked up next to a standard vRS today I happen to think that my colour coded grille version looks a million times better than the chrome grill OEM model as I'm sure the guy who looked and looked again and then took a picture of my car would agree....he then drove off in the standard

vRS......

Felt like shouting ' should of gone to Briskoda mate' to him.

Do you want a picture of the inside (8.5x19 ET46) ?
