Just push for a bit of discount on them for the inconvenience and cost of having to refurb.

That's the plan

Kind of makes sense, if you bought 5 from him. He probably spotted a single Pescara for a decent price and thought he'd have that in the boot as a spare? As you bought them from Audi-Sport it makes sense that the other four are the Audi-specific design, with an ET54.

Time for a refurb then :) - at least on the single ET54 wheel that has a bit of damage...

Hmmm, 3mm? You'd be hard pushed to notice...

Rotiform MIA's looks awesome

I could be wrong, but I don't think the Octavia could cope with ET35 :|

They look very nice, and quite similar to a Turini I reckon

Think you're right, especially on a 8.5J rim. Stance on the Mk5 in the photo looks OK though.... :S

Could it handle ET 47 with a 8.5J rim in 18"?

Probably, but you may need to run them with 225 tyres, not 235, but I'm a keen amateur as opposed to an expert, so don't hold me to it

Std wheel is 7.5J ET51 I think. So the wheels will stick out an additional 4mm because of the difference in offset, then the wheel is an inch wider, or 25mm, giving a total extra of 29mm.

Hmmm, that's quite a lot. I have 15mm spacers on std wheels and they are on the limit of 'protrusion'.

Still, the wheel arch extensions should be interesting! :giggle:

Is this me being thick?

Yes the wheel is an inch wider, but only half of the extra width would be on the outside, so would't that make it 12.5mm extra, plus the 4mm for the offset? :(

Whooaaa....! Or me being 'tick' as they say here in Ireland. :D

Ye just might be right. We'll have to wait for Wardy or magic62??? :giggle:

In fact, if you ran a 225/40/18 tyre on both wheels, it will only push it the extra 4mm of the offset

Well was planning on running 225 or even 215 on them to avoid rub

I went on one of them online offset calculators and from memory i think it said it would stick out an extra 16.?? mm and be 8.? closer to the shock.

So i was happy with the 16mm as a few people have 15mm spacers on the standard wheels. It was the 8-9mm closer to the shock leg i was concerned about

Brimma-what's keeping ya? Where's them pictures?? Come on?? :p

I have ABSOLUTELY no clue when it comes to all this offset/wheel width stuff, but are the standard MK2 Octavia VRS wheels 7.5J width with an offset of 51?

If so, I have been told (by Niche) to go for 19" wheels with 8.5J width, with an offset of 45. That website above that Brimma has linked to seems to suggest that the wheels, fitted with 225/35/19 tyres would fit, but my car is lowered around 30mm with coilovers so I am nervous about purchasing the wheels incase they don't fit.

My car, with the coilovers fitted, has 15mm spacers on the back and they don't rub. Would prefer my new wheels to sit out as far as the current ones do, but without using spacers on the new wheels.

Advice appreciated!

Great link Brimma! I spent a couple of hours trying to work out clearances on the car bible website in the past when getting alloys for winter tyres.
