Made some quick shots with my mobile (had to crop them for the forum).

Had to load them up to imageshack, because the forums server was too busy...

now I can post the pics here....

OK, give up. Server doesnt want to accept more pics :S

(uploaded one pic too much, dont look at the mess in my garage.....)

magic - you are a good man, they're really useful

I need to make a trip to the shed and take some comparison measurements on my CHs

This is how the Audi brakes fit into the 19"

Have the 347mm brakes (minimum 17" rims)

Looks good. It's the depth of my calipers (996 turbo) and the geometry of my discs (merc R500) that make things tricky.

Thanks so much magic - you've just saved me £1500 and a lot of hassle. As I suspected - this...

isn't anything like enough clearance. I have about 1 and 5/8ths at this same point on my CHs and the calipers foul the back of the wheel on those by about 2-3mm (hence I will use 5mm spacers and 215 width tyres with them).

You're welcome.

Thank IKEA, didnt find anything else to measure in a hurry

Some pictures of the finished article. 15mm rear spacers, 20mm Eibach's and BBS Pescara's. I've made them a bit brighter to bring out the colour.

Looks really good Moley.

I have now decided that the 19's are a no-go for me, certainly for the next few months at least. I can't make up my mind on the VMRs or the Neuspeeds, I want the VMRs but I am not confident they will fit so I don't want (at the moment) to settle for second-best.

So I've booked my car in to get the existing wheels painted anthracite/gunmetal/whatever. It goes in to the bodyshop on the 5th of April.

Good call. I think mine with the darker wheels and lower ride height gives a feel of filling the arches more than silver wheels and stock height - makes the 18"s look bigger than they are..

Just wondering what was the max et and width of wheels people are running?

I have seen people running the standard wheels with 15mm spacers which is what i am planning to do over winter.

My question is would i be able to run the spacers on my summer wheels which are 18x8 et48 i believe?

Depends what width of spacer you were thinking of?

Personally my Turinis are 8x18 ET42 are spot on, so I wouldn't want to go lower than that. I already get increased splatter along the sills as it is :)

The same 15m spacer.

Maybe buy 10mm and use them all year round then.

Running at an effective ET33 with the 15mm fitted isn't a good idea in my book. Also, what suspension setup are you running?

Weitec coilovers, wound to the bottom on the front and oe rubber mount on the rear springs instead of the adjuster cups.

Yikes! :o

That's going to be lower than a snakes belly in a wagon rut. Good effort!

We need pics?!

Do you only use motorways???

I'm running 8J ET43 wheels with 8mm spacers so effective ET35. Way too much room between the tyre and arch at that, with the coilovers fully wound down and 215 tyres. Needs to be lower really - at the front at least.

Suppose it's the added effect of having them wound right down...

Effectively tucks the wheel up into the arch.

It does. Looks way too far out when it's jacked up.

Hi guys

What do you think about these rims?

Wonder to buy this to my car.

If they were straight 5-spokes I think I'd like them.

But they're not, so I don't.... :)

Mmm, i'm sort of similar to Wardy's opinion, but those wheels are a bit unusual which I like.

Wonder though if you'd be better going for silver wheels rather than the grey/anthracite ones above - bit more of a contrast?

I don't like to wash, so less complicated to wash, more perfect for me ;-)

A "close up", and as you said, oobster, they are unusual, and I like that.
