MOT stickers

Featured Replies

Car will be three years old on 1st March and in need of an MOT. These days you get a blue sticker for your windscreen - is it a legal requirement to display these as evidence of vehicle worthiness?

No, the certificate is all you need

Blue sticker?

Had my first MOT last July and did not get one?

Correct, and they usually write on the expiry date for next year.

Take a look out of the window at the next opportunity - how many cars do we see with blue stickers in the window? I'm sat watching the Tyne Bridge, lots of traffic, no blue stickers.

The sticker can be used to write on it when your MOT runs out - personally I'd probably slap it on the car, but on the door 'post' so you cant see it with the door shut :D

It's a great place to have that kinda cr*p, tyre pressure stickers tend to be there too, can never remember the right pressure as I've had too many different cars

You are supposed to write one out and leave it for the customer to decide if they fit it or not. Lots of testers don't bother at all. Personally, I wouldn't bother fitting it.

Stickers are supposed to be issued with every VT20 (pass) cert;..As an MOT tester we are told to put the sticker on the screen, but we normally let the customer put it where they want..... :D

i've told a few ppl's were to put it

It's cheaper than sending out reminders, which is starting to become a trend too :(
