3 Wheels

Featured Replies

Since I fitted my coilies and rarb when I pull onto my drive fast I can get my car onto 3 wheels, is this normal because how stiff the set up is? I will try and get a picture tomorrow

I hope you've got a long drive and/or a gravel trap at the bottom of it :giggle::giggle::giggle:

Are you sure there isn't a loose Viagra rolling about in the boot

Just like the older version of the civic type r can do. Suppose it's a good thing. :)

Is this ok or will it mess my car up eventually?

Should be fine, strong bodyshell, well put together.

Standard cars with a Jabba RARB will do it if provoked

That's awesome!

You can even see the ARB poking out underneath too :D

I'd like to say it's down to stiffness of chassis but i think it's almost certainly due to the exact opposite! :giggle:

My old 306 GTI used to do it all the time if you were trying.

There's an old top gear episode where Clarkson was test driving the Focus mk2 ST (ASBO), and that was 3 wheeling in the WET. I was very impressed.

Just out of interest Tas, if you're driving it, how are you sure it 3 wheels?

You can feel it as you drive along, and then obviously the wheel in the air has to land eventually as well

I think on the Polo above it looks like it's down to the reduced suspension travel after being lowered - no doubt that's as low as the wheel goes if jacked up?!

As wardy said. Trust me you know when it is the air

Mine's up on 3 wheels every time I go in/out the driveway, very noticeable as the car rocks side to side if you stop :giggle:

B)

I jacked my car up the other day and only one wheel was touching on the floor. B) It was rocking between the back passenger side and the front drivers side but you could balance it so both were off the floor at the same time.
