I looked that up on Wiki and it's the way a heron shows its admiration for another being (I might put it on flickr, probably easier and I wouldn't have had to compress it so much-which in turn has probably converted it into a format that most peoples' browser don't support  )

Just watched the video on Flickr. Very impressed you managed to get so close to it. The one I tend to see in my local park flies away at the first sight of my camera!!

I've never managed to get that close to one.  They're usually very shy birds.   Also, I don't know if you're aware that it's possible to access the whole of your flickr account pics from that link.

Yes my flickr account is public. I've taken a lot of photos of friends on jetskis and so publish them all as they like to see themselves :D You don't see all the photos though as some are hidden from you ;)

A few from this evening's walk. Super impressed with my old Huawei p20 pro - still manages to take a decent photo after almost 3 years.

It's got used to me I think :D I've passed it many times. It sees an awful lot of people these days as lockdown has sent them towards its natural habitat :(

Nice shot of the Robin PP B)

I've always thought, given how territorial they are, the human race is very lucky they're not any bigger!

Greater spotted woodpeckers are nesting in the trees over on the left too.  They're still a tad shy of being photographed though.

After 3 years of faithful service I've moved on to a new phone. My Huawei p20 Pro has made way for a p30 pro and the optical zoom is impressive:thumbup:
