Great heron pictures.  We get one flying over us regularly but I've never tried to photograph it...

I got a short video of a Heron recently. I don't think it approved...

 

 

Can you guys see that above? I just see a timeline and hear audio, unless I download it. I thought the upload would show on the site

It shows the video on my phone just fine.

its not showing on my phone either..

It showed initially on mine but then disappeared and is now audio only

I had to download it and also install VLC to see just how impressed the heron was with the 'pillock with a phone'. ;)

I looked that up on Wiki and it's the way a heron shows its admiration for another being (I might put it on flickr, probably easier and I wouldn't have had to compress it so much-which in turn has probably converted it into a format that most peoples' browser don't support  :thinking: )

No good for me, the video supposedly 21 seconds long takes about 2 minutes and manages to show 5 or 6 still frames during that time.

I've never managed to get that close to one.  They're usually very shy birds.   Also, I don't know if you're aware that it's possible to access the whole of your flickr account pics from that link.
