Fantastic snaps, Colin. Haven't been to the Lake District since 2008. Used to spend a lot of time with my family down in a lodge thing beside Lake Windermere.

Interesting clouds this morning

Oooh Waves. Glider pilots love them  As I understand it, they can literally surf along them in a similar vein to sea surfers.

Came across a bit of a commotion in a neighbour's garden earlier. The crows and magpies in the surrounding trees were making a tremendous racket!!

 

Certainly sad for the pigeon, but remarkable to see the the bird of prey in action close-up.

 

Just a shame I didn't have my camera with me.

Thats what i thought gaz even tho she is a fair size ,would be nice to see a goshawk tho ive never seen one myself .
