You're a brave man getting that close to those swans... what, you're telling me it's a zoom lens?! :giggle:

😉  haha, this is a 30mm prime lens on a crop sensor so approx nifty fifty range.  I had used some popcorn to lure the swans over, here they were about 4m away from camera but at closest they were about 1.5m away and I got a little nervy, not going to lie, they are aggressive at times.

sepia or greyscale this one, and i reckon it would sell as an A1 canvas print for a few quid.

Thanks Mac. I did mess about initially in B&W but it didn’t work for me, the drainage channel gets a bit lost as it ends up the same contrast as the grass. Had another quick go for you, going Sepia..

Managed to catch some rugby this afternoon and a few snaps between downpours. Got lucky with a try which Ben Ridout scored in front of me! A bit muddy to say the least.

Really like the b&w ones ,candid shots of people seem to work better 👍

Not great due to the fact I'm on the train but this was taken before we left Lochwinnoch... as I'm writing this, the sunset is very pretty to look at.

Had my Jag MOT'd today, which was rather nerve-wracking, given it was the first one in my ownership and the car is 20 years old!

Happy to report it passed with the addition of two new rear indicator bulbs (the old ones were deemed to be not sufficiently yellow) and I got away in time to catch the last embers of the sunset.IMG_20220111_152612_edit_56157504306014.thumb.jpg.f8ba609ca60df9640c0454985c6a158e.jpg

An unexpected visitor just now.  I think s/he must've been hiding, but got warmed by a sunny day behind the glass.  It's a beautiful clear Winter's day outside, and has just made it to the dizzy echelons of 3C.  Let it out the window as it was going to damage itself fluttering against the glass and blind:

Fab what a nice bit of sunshine can do for the soul.  From a gentle ten mile ride this afternoon (gentle because my tyre noise changed in the shady areas and I realised I was on frost, some of it icy underneath):

The Alsatian's a local dog I see lots.  He's happy as larry as long as he's got a stick.

Camera's not too bad on the new phone.
