PD130 engine into an SDI - on ebay!

Featured Replies

I just don't understand why he would spend so much 'converting' it and then just flog it.......it's just not right!!

Are there any policemen or women that r members on here that could look into it??

How hard would it be to respray every bit of vRS yellow, to the shade of yellow this "SDI" was? Assume its not too hard to nab the identity of an SDI which might be an undeclared insurance loss and spray a stolen vRS to match? Might be interesting to see behind the material in the boot to see what shade of yellow the chassis is.

Thinking about buying it J? ;D

Very short time to do all that work and then get bored with it!

Reported it to Bradford police who will look into it.

Only called them because I was stung years ago by a car rinnger.

I just got this email about whether the roof aerial is fully removable.

"yes take roof linng down from the rear screws out from there ok cheers"

Sounds like a proper vRS aerial then, only removeable from the inside with the roof lining taken out... Even more desperate.

Dodgy as! I'd be interested to go look at the car and check the state of the vin plate - 'accidental' grinding? Bets please!

And as mentioned last night in #briskoda, the turbo is different on the red DI engines which means its awkward (or not possible) to fit into a Fabia.

I'm getting a strong whiff of fish from oop North at the moment. :)

Hmm. If you want a real whiff of fish, have a gander at his feedback - then have a look at the profiles of some of his buyers/sellers - in particular one 'caraannalisa' (bet she's his GF) - she sold a Corsa to our man, and a 1.9PDI engine to someone else, along with a host of other parts. Looks like a bunch of perps 'selling' to their mates on Ebay to ensure credibility. Now why would they do that??

Scuse, gotta go, the stench of that fish is overwhelming!

Pity, cos I'd like a yellow vRS :(

Japes

12 months' road tax for a fabia vRS is

Just forwarded this on to someone who works for West Yorkshire computer crime unit (IIRC) :D

That could just be the date DVLA issued a new style V5 as part of their programme to replace the original type.
