PD130 engine into an SDI - on ebay!

Featured Replies

Hmm. If you want a real whiff of fish' date=' have a gander at his feedback - then have a look at the profiles of some of his buyers/sellers - in particular one 'caraannalisa' (bet she's his GF) - she sold a Corsa to our man, and a 1.9PDI engine to someone else, along with a host of other parts. Looks like a bunch of perps 'selling' to their mates on Ebay to ensure credibility. Now why would they do that??

Scuse, gotta go, the stench of that fish is overwhelming!

Pity, cos I'd like a yellow vRS :(

Caraanalise is also selling a 1.9SDI engine right now on item number 4526402240 - 60K on it and the same phone number as the other ad

What's the betting this engine's come from the broken 1.9SDI which has given its plates and VIN to this nicked Furby vRS?

Woohoo, we're smashing up a dodgy car ring!!

Has anyone got a sufficient 'handle' on this to report it to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111?

All we need know is some local members to head out in disguise to try and see the car... ;)

How about we all report it to them and the police? Then they may just take it seriously enough to get out of their camera vans and go and do some police work

WELL DODGY! Glad to see some good may come from my little spot. :D

Who's near Bradford then?

I can tell you that the pub that the photos where taken in is the :-

Boars Head Hotel

Highgate Rd, Queensbury, Bradford, West Yorkshire BD13 1ES

As it's the only one listed on Yell.com.

A recce of the surrounding area might be in order, me thinks. ;)

Judging by multimap there is not to much ground to cover. Might be interesting to see if the plates in the picture are still on the car. If it is seen!

As my earlier post page 3, I called Bradford police this morning and reported it to the car crime unit who were very interested.

Bidding has started on it too, but hopefully no bidder will be affected, and the true justice will be done within the 8 days the auction has left to run.

I'm starting to feel a little like Sherlock Holmes at the moment, combined with a weird sense of pride too. Anyone getting the same. :)

Sod ringing the police in the future.I'll be ringing the Briskoda crime busters.I'm impressed  :holmes: .(if you cou could trace the little b@@r@s that 'ice balled' as opposed to 'snowballed' our windows a while back I would be grateful)

Yeah, I'm feeling properly warm and fuzzy about this. I just hope we can find out what happens...

Black Magic, did you ask to be kept informed of progress? Or anyone else?

Its gotta be some poor persons stolen vRS......... hope the Police get a result on this one......... no way is that a PDI? who would spend all that money and sell it cheap on eBay? Only up to

I've got a mate who has a dodgy account on fleabay. Could get him to bid and win it so no-one gets screwed over by this guy. I'll chat to him now, either that or get passionford lot to whack price up to a few million.

He apears to have another userid on Ebay forceinthewoods have a look at the Merc he is selling, forceinthewoods has just bid on it with the same mobile number.

Hrm well shady

The Police were going to feedback as I have a crime ID number. They thought it a little strange someone from Scotland phoning, I told them it all started with a guy in the deepest south and a bunch of other slooths. As I said I only called due to being stung in the past.

Anyone noticed the plastic covers over the nuts on the wiper arms are missing, proberbly removed the arm to doctor the vin number and forgot to put them back.

And a piece of trim missing near the bonnet release? Where they smashed it while they butchered the wiring loom to disable the immobiliser, probably :finger:

That guys spelling is fantastic :-)) Best laugh i've had all day!!!!! Also if you look on his feedback for the Vauxhall Corsa he bought, the style looks very familiar!!!

And the other parts for sale, from the audi TT proberbly from someone elses pride and joy.

At least one of the bidders seem a bit iffy to.

so has anyone arranged to go look at the car?
