sorry mate my bad, 289 quid is the digital one from mrhoot.com. full money back guarantee if not pleased. cant conplain about that!!

What's the difference between the AmD One Click and the Mr Hoot Digi Tuning Box? I could be wrong here, but I believe the One Click is approximately

I would go one click personnally.

one click are more than 350 quid now?? think there pushing 500??

Then spend

I can't see a One Click being

There has been a lot of confusion over the pricing of the one click. There was a group buy some time ago and it was really really good value for money considering the remap can be removed and put back at your convenience :)

The

I cant see why it's

jabba was my first option but didnt want to void my warrenty, plus the box is removeable for serviceing etc.

mikejay, Jabba basically said to me they wont find it when doing warranty work, I have had my car in for 2 checks now (one a VAG-COM warning light) and nothing showed. I know we will get the obligatry comment "anything can be found if they want to find it", but generally speaking it too is undetectable unless people look in the right place and I can't see why they would ever do that, the only system they use for diagnostics is VAG-COM, and if it can't tell it's there, how can they tell except by getting a specialist in which I have yet to see in any of my cars, even my unreliable Mondeo TDCi.

And if by perchance my warranty was ever to be "voided" I would either go to a different garage to see if they can do it or get it removed, but until that point in time I don't see the big deal.

What is the recommended minimum mileage before a remap? I know this has been posted before, is it worth waiting for at least 10k...Thanks

Surely if the dealer shoves a Gas Analyser up the zorst, then he can tell its been remapped, because it will be burning a far richer mixture at some point within the rev range? I wonder how an unsuspecting dealer would go about fixing that one

Dragon boxes are always on e-bay and go for around

Dragon tuning boxes just like most other tuning boxes alter the signals, if your car ever goes into a limp mode it will record it and then they'll be able to tell anyway, that's how they noticed my TDCi and subsequently wouldnt pay for work which needed doing to it (tuning boxes fault that it broke in the first place due to poor overfuelling). At the end of the day I really dont see why people are chucking

If you can get one for

My opinion is that both have their merits. Paying at least

FMIC would be nice :)

Paying at least
I wish people would stop assuming things... for me there is a HUGE difference between

Yes ok... I didnt mean to sound so snappy.

But... if you can get a Dragon digital tuning box for around

No, you're not snappy at all, it's all good discussion, which is what this is all about  . Regarding your valuable points, it's an easy decision really. Which is that any form of tuning will have negative consequences on the longivity of the engine, gearbox, drive shafts, etc, etc, etc. I guess you could sell your Dragon box once you've disposed of the car, but during that time would you have ever wondered what that full custom remap would have offered? Everyone to their own, and remember, you have a fast car anyway. Going along the A43 at Towcester last week, I was travelling at 99mph and the Porsche 911 Turbo S behind me could not pass (I guess his driving license didn't permit it  ). LOL You can still have fun without a remap.

I got the Dragon Tuning box for my Octy off ebay for

I can easily afford a remap, but there are so many other things to spend my money on, new laptop, home cinema stuff, ICE, holidays, etc. I didn't think it was worth spending an extra
