You will be able to go out and play in your sharked cars this weekend

I wish! the excited feeling has now long gone and has been replaced by an impatient, annoyed feeling - I paid a month ago and yet some people that paid after the deadline have completed their mapping :x

I'm sorry you are feeling impatient, but we got the units out to everyone much earlier than promised, we are preparing for a show this weekend and we have a high demand at the moment. Maps are being processed in the order in which they arrive in the inbox, ordinarily we turn around maps within 1 working day but as stated earlier in the thread, this will take longer due to the demand of a group buy.

Your map arrived in the inbox at 21:10 last night.. That's not even the 1 working day that we normally quote, let alone allowing for group buy delays.

Please continue to be patient and cut us a bit of slack, I wish you could see how much work dealing with 30 units and 30 maps at once is..

just a quick post to say thank you to shark performance ,i took my little fabia vrs II in for its group re map i had a good drive there but one hell of a drive back the car is what it should be when you take it out the showroom so so good to drive now ,it was good from standard but now its a proper weapon i have to go back again for a few little more mods so looking forward to that once again a big thanks to ben the lovely cheryl and the other young lady who was proper scared of spiders thanks again for the great service .

I would like to say that I am happy with the service and if I don't get my map in time to try it out tomorrow then so be it, I think I can wait a couple of days but I am sad and will be taking the laptop with me to the wedding (have to just incase work call) so if it does pop in I can upload it for the drive home

The wait will be well worth it, it's not as bad as waiting 3 months for the car to be built. The car is still brilliant without the map in my opinion, just better with. I suggest taking the car out again and remembering exactly what it feels like in each gear at different speeds and then you can make a good comparison when you get the map.

Come on lads give the poor bloke a chance, he has his normal work load and getting ready for a show plus he has 40 plus of us from group buy to deal with

The beauty of a GB is the saving, but you have to be patient as you pay up front and then the bits are ordered etc

Patience is a vertue ;)

It's no secret I have spent a lot of time with Ben over the previous couple of years or so and in Bens defence, I dont know anyone that is working the hours he does and keep as many people happy with an excellent product and service. Keeping in mind the values Ben conducts his business around and the massive growth and obviously investment required in such a short time span. Not even taking in to consideration the other personal factors (Family, young son etc etc). I for one tink Ben is doing a fantastic job under very difficult circumstances and huge stress involved in running a business. He has my upmost respect for having the balls to take this on and risk everything.

You cant please everyone but in this instance even looking at the times Ben is posting and responding he is doing a great job keeping on top of everything. For someone who does not understand the work involved or does not have the full facts available to them I can understand why they might feel they are not a priority but this isnt the case.

Ben has given his assurance that everyone is being dealt with in a fair and consitent manner which is what you expect. To enable the savings to be achieved there has to be an elemnt of time/waiting involved. Its not like that isnt made very clear at the begining of the GB.

In this case there has been a further delay with not recieving the map and this in the interest of fairness needs to be taken in to account.

Having said that please believe me (and many others) when I say you wont be dissapointed when the map is uploaded. I hope you will post some feedback once you have loaded the map onto the car

Disclaimer: I have made these comments which are my opinion based on my dealings with Ben as an individual and as Shark as a company. I feel some recognition for an excellent product and service should be made public. If the mods feel this isnt the place to make these comments I respectfully ask you to move this post to the Shark section and NOT delte it. Thank you.

I love the disclaimer part of that post

 First time I have had any dealings with Shark and with Ben. I have to agree with what you have said. The terms of the group buy were set out very clearly by Ben. I think most people will probably be sorted sooner than was stated to be honest. Seems he is working very hard to get people sorted out to me. Im not getting my map done till next week but not moaning about it. Just glad that Ben has allowed me to save well over 150 pounds! so a big thank you to you Ben. looking forward to getting my map and enjoying it. Whenever it is done!!!!

Fair enough, I can understand you are busy, but can you at least give me an estimated day/time when I can expect the new map please?

Don't worry, I will if when I get it

Just got back from a week away to find my unit had arrived, with stickers :)

Thank you for the quick dispatch and cant wait for the real fun to start.

Sts box arrived today ( Ireland ) I downloded map and sent it off ive just got to try and be patient and wait for it to come back.

Sent mine off Thursday night at the second time of asking, crying baby prompted send before I had attached the map. Doh! Looking forward to seeing the results next week driving to work :)

Oh dear that bitter pill must be hard to swallow!

Oh dear that bitter pill must be hard to swallow!

Sure is, choked on it at least half a dozen times now :envy::giggle:

Met Ben and his team for the first time today at GTI International.

Have to say I was impressed with the guy, the time he gave to people and the enthusiasm he shows for his work.

Mentioned I was part of the group buy on here and that my STS was in Devon awaiting my next visit. Quite unexpectedly he offered to set up an STS for me there and then with just the proviso I pop the other one back in the post next time I'm back home!

Anyway it was all done and he took time out to explain to me how it all worked and a bit of his business ethos. Only issue is that whilst the map is loaded onto the STS, I didn't actually install it (despite the temptation) because I haven't sorted the insurance out yet.

So, while I haven't yet tested out the product I've now got a fair amount of faith in the people and the service behind it. In my book they have a bright future and are well worth supporting.

Not to upset anyone who hasnt had their STS box yet, i went down to shark this morning, and had my map done there. Pleased with the results, so thanks to Ben!

And to everyone thats complaining, hes not a massive dealership with 15+ technicians, just remember your not the only one getting your STS box delivered, weather you paid first or last, there just sent in the post, what happens from there is out of their hands isnt it. Not trying to start an argument with anyone, but you wont be complaining once you've got it and your cars running faster and smoother than it was before will you?

Once again thanks Ben.

How are people enjoying their remaps then? I went back to stock at the weekend and wow did it suck. I used to think it was quick! Bring on stage 2, 3, etc etc!

waiting for mine to be emailed back. Hopefully I can get it to test out the mpg on the drive home from work tomorrow. Stuck here now so I don't need it yet :giggle:

Test the mpg? Do you mean power?

How are people enjoying their remaps then?

Got mine back just over an hour ago, uploaded to ecu, took it for a quick test drive on a short (approx 1.5 miles) dual c/w - well was it worth the wait...........

Absolutely YES  power delivery is so smooth, torque has increased and acceleration is off the scale  the real test will be the next time towing the van but from the improvements driving solo I think it will tow so much better!

Thanks Ben and apologies again for the impatience

p.s. I'm assumimg that if I upload the immobiliser map then it works straight away?

Well I'm loving mine, soooooo much power! I'm actually thinking a bit too much power to get down in 1st, 2nd and a bit of 3rd. and dont get me started on understeer!

So I'm thinking (and have been reading past threads) that a RARB / WALK kit may be next on the list, so I can make use of ALL that power.

Would love to hear what everyone who staged 1 is planning, and those who have previously modded their car handling wise would recommend.

Think I might start a new thread and give Ben a call
