Hi Tim, Yes, Shark have to open the ecu to do the remap. Bens a top bloke and his party piece with the angle grinder is a hoot !

I've remapped quite a few petrol turbo cars in my time and was expecting a similar experience with the diesel, and to be honest, was slightly underwhelmed with the car after the remap. I was struggling to really notice much of a difference on the way back to Chesterfield in the busy traffic. However, after getting a decent run in the car the next day I became happier with it as the extra performance is there, it's just not the slap in your face you get with a petrol remap. If you look at the speedo though, it climbs pretty damn quick ! I suspect it was just the diesel delivery that I'm not familiar with as it's my first.

Overall I'm glad I had it done and the car is better to drive because of it, esp. in the 4,5,6 gears where it really pulls.

Mpg wise the car is as good as ever, so no down side. Also still never had a dpf regen (to my knowledge)

silly question but i'm assuming we can switch between original and performance maps an infinite amount of times?

I have been grizzle. Just to show friends and family the difference.

ah cool

Hi Ben,

How did it go with the manual vrs you had in the other day? Find the cause of the problem?

I know this is a debate of age wether 95 or 98 should be used in the TFSI as standard but when mapped should it be ran on 98RON??

I'm afraid not for the forseeable future, this was our second group buy this year so it'll be the last for this year.

Is there any change on this now you have expanded.....?

I'm gutted I had to pull out as we have now got the Golf GT 140 we were after.

This is an OLD group buy which has closed some time ago!

Think you need to call Ben @ Shark to see if he is running any offers at the moment.

I know he has just moved premises so is v busy, but well worth it IMO.

For those who haven't seen, they are running a summer sale right now

As some of you may be aware, we have moved premises (again)! Our new, bigger facility gives us the opportunity to offer more services and our brand new Bapro rolling road has now been fully commissioned!

As our way of saying thanks to the community, we have decided on some very special offers for Briskodians.

We are offering an amazing £150 off ANY stage 1 map for ANY VAG vehicle.. That's up to half price for a Mk1 Fabia owner!

Some typical prices as part of this offer are:

Mk1 Fabia TDI/VRS: £149 including VAT

Mk2 Fabia TSI/VRS: £349 including VAT

Mk1 Octavia 1.8T/VRS: £199 including VAT

Mk2 Octavia TDI/VRS diesel: £199 including VAT

Mk2 Octavia TFSI VRS: £299 including VAT

Mk2 FL Octavia TSI/CR VRS: £349 including VAT

This offer also includes STS orders for those who are unable to travel to us or would like a truly switchable solution.

We are also offering FREE fitting on Milltek exhausts when fitted at the same time as a map, giving even better value!

Please also remember our opening party on 29th August (Bank Holiday Monday) where you can meet the team, see the work we do first hand and see a wide range of products from our partners such as Milltek, ITG, KW and VAG Bremtechnik.

This is exciting times for us all at Shark Performance and we'd love for you to share it with us!

This great offer starts on 22/08/11 and applies to all bookings made and paid for before 05/09/11. To make your booking or for more information, call 01623 332233.

Regards

The Shark Team

For those who haven't seen, they are running a summer sale right now

Hi Shark...

I have put my name on the list last week but I am currently working away until Monday night so I not be able to make any payment by the 5th. Is there any chance that I can come down to see you on Tuesday and make the payment under the same terms. I missed out on the previous group buy as I was away with work at the time of the closing date.

Cheers

Daz

MODS PLEASE LOCK THIS THREAD TO AVOID CONFUSION. THIS GROUP BUY IS CLOSED. IT FINISHED EARLY JULY

For those who haven't seen, they are running a summer sale right now

I have just checked the web site and someone has posted that the group buy finished before the start date. Am I reading it wrong or something. The above said it finishes on the 5th September (today). As I said yesterday I am away with work until tonight so I cant pay until I return home. If it is possible for you to extend it for one day I will come down tomorrow and make the arrangements required.

Cheers

Daz

This is the OLD GB.

The one ending today is a newer one.

Personally I would phone Cheryl up and ask her directly.

Hi Daz

There appears to be a bit of confusion here, the post that you've picked up on is an old group buy from earlier in the year. However if you can give us a call today or tomorrow, we'd be happy to fit you in. Our number is 01623 332233.

Regards

Ben
